OP was just saying that most of Batman's rogues are well-off, as many of them have PHDs (ex: psychology for Harley Quinn, and biology for Poison Ivy). The average person wouldn't have the funds to pursue such a thing (at least, not in the US). On top of that, they also take advantage of people who are less fortunate. Also, the Joker is very well-off, and he's also afraid of the IRS.

The single most useful edit you can do before you send anything to anyone: Read it out loud. The whole thing. Every sentence. You will hear every place the rhythm breaks, every word that doesn't belong, every line of dialogue that no human being would actually say. Your eye skips over problems because it already knows what you meant to write. Your ear doesn't lie. It catches everything. It is embarrassing how much a single read-aloud will fix. Do it alone. I don't know what's with people and kind characters that make them hate them so much. For the ones where kindness is an important traits of characters they're defined as being weak, doormat and pushover with no values. For other who are kind but it doesn't stop them to push a fight or express anger it's simply ignored to hype them or change them into daddy dom and there's no trace of the kindness they clearly have.

I'm tired of this idea that kindness is just weakness and if you can put a fight you can't possibly be kind right after.
