Argentina should not be in the semis. Both Morocco and Egypt were more deserving. But FIFAās got a stiffie for Argentina making the final, so fuck them.
I would normally prefer to see a Latin American country win over a European one, but since Argentina is ashamed of its South American-ness and wants to be European more than anything - and has systematically denied, marginalized and ignored its Black population for years - they can pound pavement. GTFO.
May England relegate them to play against the other āfavoriteā to win it in the 3rd place game. Au revoir, France. You played like shit today.

I went and saw Disclosure Day yesterday.
I quite liked it. Iām glad I didnāt pay much mind to the negative reviews and opinions of the movie, especially those I read in this space. Yeah, it got a bit overdone by the end, but honestly, no one does tension and drama like Spielberg, and I quite appreciated both in this movie. I also really, really like how āhisā cinematographer Janusz Kaminski films things.
There were elements - more than just elements, actually - that reminded me of E.T. (a phalanx of bad-guy government agents trying to hide and stop stuff?). But this movie felt even more like a bookend/alternate story to one of my favorite movies of all time: Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Very similar themes to that classic.
Which is why Iām watching Close Encounters again right now. I saw that movie with my dad when I was about 8 years old, and I remember vividly how utterly transported I was by the visuals and the music and the sheer grandiosity of it all, even if I didnāt 100% understand all the grown up things in it at the time. I felt real, actual awe when I saw Close Encounters for the first time - and every time since.
Disclosure Day made me feel like revisiting that sense of wonder and awe at the movies again. So Close Encounters it is.
