It's insane to leap forward over a hundred years to some people who were iterating on that (and countless other) work and say that they are the originators of the personal computer, because the personal computer was in development continuously pretty much since at least the 1850's.

The Intel 8088 was just a cheapened 8086. Literally the only difference was they reduced the data bus from 16 bits to 8 for economic reasons. This is not an Israeli design by any stretch of the imagination. This is a simple modification to an existing design. It only took them 4 months!

The IBM 5150 was completely American (Florida!) designed so it's really unrelated other than they chose the Intel 8088 because it was cheap.
