THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS ABOUT THIS MOVIE THAT CONFUSE ME but I'm hoping as we learn more through newer seasons it'll all make sense. I have 2 theorys.

1. When Dazai was stripped of his ability, it was blue. Similar to how Atsushi's was. If Atsushi's body was able to reclaim his crystal, maybe Dazai did too even if he was unconscious.

2. Dazai can't fucking die. I'll drag this to my grave till someone can prove otherwise. That's how he stayed alive till Chuuya punched him.

Unpopular Opinion

Dazai isn't actually suicidal(anymore); he uses it as a cover up.

He didn't throw himself in that river on accident, he knew who Atsushi was and used his failed suicide attempt to form a relationship with him.

He's dredged out of the river during S1E5 because he wanted to convince the police to hire Ranpo.

He's captured by Port Mafia in order to retrieve info about Atsushi.

The asshole's a genius, you can't tell me three seasons and a movie of him getting exactly what he wants came about because he ACCIDENTALLY ran into one of the strongest Gifted in Yokohama.

I also have a sneaking suspicion that he can't ACTUALLY die. That would explain why he hasn't actually been able to kill himself(see Dark Era Dazai)
