โบ ย "Di.Mi.Tri." she enunciated every syllable of his name, her tongue caught on them. "Remember when i sang to you?" With that she leaned over the table, giggling a bit too loudly. With shaking laugh that was meant to be a calming breath, she looked at him. He was the only thing in her vision that was clear. "Wait! I have an idea! Let's invite Edie to tea! It'll be so fun! I know there's a wore right now but I love Edie and she's one of my dearest friends." Or was, but the wine made her forget.
dimitri was not quite sure when the night had escalated quite the way it did. he was certain to have turned his back on dorothea for a total of five minutes, enough for her to slip away & find someone who was happy to refill her wine glass. often. & now she was leaning far too heavily against the table, dopey grin on her lips that would be infectious if it werenโt so worrying.
โโ ย i think you have had quite enough, wouldnโt you agree ?ย ย โโ ย though he was not about to wait for her opinion on the matter. & it did not take much to get the glass from her, set it aside. ย โโ ย & now, what do you think about heading to bed ?ย ย โโ ย again, dorotheaโs thoughts on the matter were not taken into consideration when dimitri carefully arranged her arms around his neck & lifted her up with ease as walking her up the stairs seemed not worth the attempt.
(ย ย it only occured to him halfway that he was leading her to his chamber & explained it to himself with the more comfortable bed he had been provided with. not like she had spent thepast nights there & would continue to do so in the future.ย ย )
SHE IS ONE OF MY DEAREST FRIENDS.
it hit him harder than he would have imagined, the mention of his late sister no longer connected to rage but a regret he had not yet been able to specify. dimitri did not have the heart to inform her of the warโs end. of edelgardโs untimely death by his hand. not when she looked so carefree, grinning up at him like an invitation to tea had been the greatest idea to ever cross her mind.
โโ ย sure.ย ย โโ ย there was a crack in his voice that he masked with a quick kiss to dorotheaโs forehead, effictively distracting her.ย ย โโ ย that would be nice.ย ย โโ
