Ember & Ice is such an interesting stop in Hudcon lore. Audo erotica isn't really my thing, so I didn't listen to Ember & Ice in full, just snippets. But those were enough 🫣. I just find it extremely fascinating that after doing Heated Rivalry together the next collaboration that Hudcon chose was to play lovers again, and it's like the chemistry was intensified because they were using their voices alone to convey the intense level of passion we witnessed in Heated Rivalry. Beyond that the photoshoot that they did was just, a lot 🤣. They really enjoyed this photoshoot and got into it, you can tell from all of the BTS footage and that TikTok Quinn released where they were completely enamored looking at the other one.

Then there was the interview they did with Quinn to promote Ember & Ice that was revealing in more ways than one.

There is no other way to describe the energy in this interview other than charged. There were so many gems, in there and the looks that they gave each other, especially Connor looking at Hudson, are revealing. Some stand out moments to me are the following.

I loved Hudson's outfit. The color, the sleeveless sweater, it's one of his best outfits to date.

The way Connor looks Hudson up and down when Hudson is talking about his skincare routine 🔥.

The story of the Sex Sells Tattoos and Hudson making it clear he was the reason Connor came to Vancouver, and he is a good enough reason for Connor to visit.

Connor showing support for Hudson's career goals and aspirations, by talking about how he could see Hudson being Nightwing after Hudson shot his shot with James Gunn regarding the role last year.

That whole conversation while they called each other husband in Spanish.

Connor putting the pointer they were given for a game later in the interview in his mouth and then putting it in Hudson's. I saw a lot of people downplay this moment saying, "well the made out in Heated Rivalry that's no big deal for them 🤪." They made out as Ilya and Shane. This was Connor putting something in his mouth and then Hudson licking it without blinking an eye, almost a precursor to that sink picture from the Met for levels of intimacy outside of character.

There are so many Hudcon moments that people have just written off, and they deserve a second look. Ember & Ice was done simply because Hudcon love working with each other and clearly didn't want to pass up an opportunity to play lovers again, and that means something in my opinion. Especially because their recording was the first time Quinn had used erotica written for two people and not for a solo listener. I love looking back because moments like the Quinn Interview are when some of us in the Fandom really paused and took another look at the nature of Hudcon's relationship.

I mean…. Yes.

Or maybe that’s just what happens when couples are truly in love. And the Connor and Hudson clip was only after knowing each other for 5 months.

The olympic torch event in Feltre/ Italy is still one of the sweetest Hudcon moments ♥️

A day later, we found out that they were together the whole time before the event and asked the fans who recognized them for privacy. Which just tells me everything I need to know. Protecting their relationship 👀

And then a few weeks later we were blessed with an interview about the event and yes, the heart eyes were in full force 🤭♥️

I've seen some handholding discourse re: The Situation, so here are my two cents 🤭😉

Something I've been thinking about recently based on other mutuals posts is that Hudcon has really just been a couple in front of our salads the whole time and people still don't get it.

They just casually started texting each other and following each other on IG after their audition/chemistry read. They started openly flirting with each other online. All before actually meeting in person.

Post filming Connor went to visit Hudson in Vancouver, and they basically went on several dates, (out to eat, hiking). Took couple pictures, visited their onscreen Mom/Mom in Law Christina, and basically hard launched it on IG for everyone to see.

The Holidays: Thanksgiving (no details, but I believe it); New Year's Eve; Valentine's Day (because including Connor in that post was a statement); Easter Weekend which considering the evidence of the Atlanta weekend seems more and more real than before.

There is something about the way they were touching each other in the backseat of the car at Feltre, before they drove off, that just seems so domestic and casual. Especially because even though they knew fans were taking pictures, I'm not sure they're aware that everyone saw the caresses too.

SNL: Supporting your partner on the biggest night of their career so far, this early in their careers was an insane grand gesture and statement. The fact that Hudson took time off from his job, flew into NYC pretty much undetected despite a few sightings, and then popped up on SNL with Connor was amazing. Then the fact that everyone in the audience and the cast had a front row to how close and affectionate they were with each other. Connor and Hudson holding each other while they introduced the Musical Guest. Even thinking about it now, they didn't have to be holding each other if they were just friends. It's just too much.

Also, the fact that the SNL cast picked up on the importance of Hudson being there for Connor and pushed him up front to stand next to Connor during the Goodnights. Then the hug that Hudson gave Connor when he saw Connor getting emotional, and the way Hudson was locked into everything Connor was going through. That by the way is how you support an actual partner experiencing a career high.

The Met Gala: They acted so much like boyfriends that night, that everyone noticed, and everyone decided to share about it whether "Rpf" was legal or not.

There are so many other moments too. They all point to the same thing, which is that their relationship looks exactly like what we think it is. That's why so many mutuals and I don't think we'll ever get a "statement" or official "coming out." They've been a couple so much already they'll just ramp it up until the light bulb 💡clicks for the General Public.

A lot of Fandom strife and struggle would go away if people started by accepting that Hudcon are best friends who adore each other, and then not twist themselves in knots trying to disprove all the moments when Hudcon shows us through their words and actions that they are more than friends. People have made something pretty straightforward very convoluted and complicated. Hudcon has done the best they can under their circumstances due to their burgeoning careers and being a Queer couple in Hollywood and being long distance. Even with all of this they're still making it work, so I think it's okay to relax and continue to watch this pair be a couple in front of us and continue to root for them and support them. Also, we're going to blink and it'll be August. I'm actually really excited. I enjoyed The Long Game so much, and they're absolutely going have a blast bringing it to life.

Also, sidenote for shits and giggles. Remember that interview where Tom Holland said studios love when he and Zendaya are in the same movie, because it cuts down on costs, because they only have to book one hotel room? I suspect the same will be the case when this season they don't need two apartments in Toronto, just one 👀🤣😁.
