Jax wasn't lovely. Jax was awful, cruel and pushed everyone away, and never took a single chance given.

He wasn't lovely.

But she could have been.

Oh Jax. If you just accepted yourself and the people around you sooner, she could've have been lovely. You would've been happier with yourself and the world around you. If you loved yourself for who you were, you probably would've hurt less people.

But you let her exist far too late. It took someone personally traveling through your torment to the point you couldn't hide anything anymore, to let her breathe.

The moment you admitted "I don't want to go" when the entire rest of the series you were begging to fade away, you admitted you wanted to keep living as her. That's why the song started at that moment. She was born far too late.

"Isn't She Lovely" is a song by Stevie Wonder from his 1976 album, Songs in the Key of Life. The lyrics celebrate the birth of his daughter, Aisha Morris. Wonder collaborated on the song with Harlem songwriter and studio owner Burnetta "Bunny" Jones.[1]

So to add on to the symbolism, the original song was celebrating the birth of a daughter. And I don't know if this was a coincidence or another layer of symbolism, but the fact that the Stevie Wonder collaborated with Burnetta "Bunny" Jones is pretty interesting.

Jax was finally out of their toxic household, yes Jax was trapped in the digital circus, but they were trapped with a human cast that cared. Jax had plenty of time and people that were so patient with them. There was was potential for Jax to be reborn into her true self.

The most patient human there is Kinger, and his love of butterflies. Kinger got his love of bugs from his wife. The reason I'm mentioning butterflies is because they are another symbol of change/rebirth/spiritually/death. Kinger was open to be a father figure to basically everyone. Kinger with his past of losing all of his friends and his wife, had an understanding of change. Kinger has shown to be a beacon of light to Raggatha when she dropped in.

Raggatha was open to be a big sister/friend. And the list can go on. Before the abstraction of Ribbit, Jax had the "easy mode" of personal growth. But Jax pushed Ribbit away, pushed kaufmo away. Bullied Gangle and antagonized Zooble.

When Jax was finally able to attempt to either rope in Pomi to his misery, he was tempted to befriend Pomi. He could have really worked on the harder road to self growth and REDEMPTION, but Jax gave up.

The tragedy of Jax was "he" could have embraced herself and be reborn into her true self.

This is all coming from a fan of the show, that has Jax at the bottom of the list of who I like as characters. Ghost Lady in the haunted house episode? Way above Jax.

I do understand why people love Jax, and I understand why so many people wanted to see her get redeemed. Or even have a "meaningful death" similar to Darth Vader.

I understand Jax was very likable before Ribbit abstracted, and I can easily imagine her to be likable if she embraced herself. I enjoyed watching the "entertaining unlikeable character" have a tragic ending.

Jax has a place in the show. A cautionary tale of not accepting help and accepting yourself.

I miss both of them so much. But this is my first truly petless holidays. 15 and 16 years of to cats that kept each other strong and happy.

We need to stand with our Trans sisters, brothers and siblings! No one in the rainbow family should ever be thrown under the bus! The community flag keeps evolving to include all members of the rainbow family. The family crest of the community is meant to welcome everyone!

There are places that want to make conversion camps legal. And conversation camps have shown they dont work, and make the victims more likely to turn suicidal or worse.
