i got a new bone to pick with minecraft and it's its treatment of hot climate biomes. deserts are total wastelands that are a weird mix of the sahara and american deserts (cactuses do not grow natively outside of the americas besides one singular species indigenous to africa, which doesn't grow in deserts), jungle biomes are underdeveloped and do not in any meaningful way represent the true diversity of tropical rainforests. deeply european behavior

⋆ ˚｡⋆୨୧˚ behold! my glowberry 'vineyard!' was watching barce's hardcore series and got so incredibly inspired by their attention to detail that i wanted to build something in my own world that i could experiment with.
ended up going with a vineyard i had built a while ago in a creative world. this was also my first ever time using podzol and coarse dirt in a build, so that was a lot of fun to experiment with, too. thinking of including those blocks in more of my future projects :)
also loving the cypress trees in the background. they're definitely not what i had imagined, but i don't hate looking at it either. makes the whole area more dense and more lush.
One thing about me: I have 0 coding experience or modding experience. Have never even once downloaded a minecraft mod.
Another thing about me: I will still plan out a mod and create textures for it. For fun. So I might as well share.
A third thing about me: I really really like tea.
