Lightly toeing the very unreasonably squeaky stairs, Captain Gold inches up the platforms louder than she hoped. The deathly loud creaking was a bit much for her ears. “Jesus, good thing I’m almost deaf. That must be loud.” Captain Gold enters a sprint, quickly but loudly clearing each step. “God, these things really gotta get repaired…” She mumbled angrily to herself.

Suddenly, a wave rocked the boat hard, practically swinging her off of the stairwell. Captain Gold tumbled, her arms instinctively flailing forward to catch her fall. Fumbling loudly across the floor of the boat, before crashing into some empty barrels, the same splinter she tossed to the side before firmly lodged in her arm now. She was going to have to do that all over again.
