.......no. no he doesn't. yall invented it to find reasons to why elain and azriel SHOULDN'T be together, and just like "they're not attracted to each other", "they're brother and sister", "she's lucien's and is hiding her feelings for him", "he will be with emerie", "they are just best friends" (all pre acosf "arguments" that were proven wrong btw), you needed a reason to keep hating. even when there's none.

Azriel said "the caldron choose three sisters, tell me how two of those sisters are mated with my brothers and the other one was given to another" this is not a statement. not a claim. this is a question that goes along with what we know his character feels abt himself:

Azriel is looking at how fate set up a perfect pairing and when it was abt him and the woman he feels attracted to, gave his life to save, understood when no one did and trusted like nobody with his most prized possession, that person is mated to someone she doesn't want and has no interest in. that person who also looks back at him and saw things no one else did, who likes him back. but he is so unworthy, that fate laughed at his face and made a mess when it could just go the easy way and pair who would eventually fall together, but noooo. Azriel Dirty-Hands gets nothing. He was never choosen anyway, not by who he wanted to be. But hey, apparently someone wants him back now. But fate gotcha again. You get nothing, Az!

That's his feeling, that's his anger and that's why he hurts. That's why he can't sleep. This hurts him and he keeps shoving it down and cooling it off when he has to, but sometimes, like this, It just gets out.

It did not have to go to Elain first(and describe elain perfectly btw) and Clotho did not have to be in that chapter at all. He did not have to give it to her instead.

They never once question the purpose of Clotho taking the necklace from him. Especially when Clotho is the name of one of the 3 Fates of greek mythology. Clotho wasn’t necessary in that scene unless she was playing a greater more symbolic role.
