"Yeah, no fucking shit." Grace snapped, and immediately felt guilty afterward. Daniel was doing his best to help her escape his fucked up family's house of horrors. While she still wasn't sure if she could fully trust him yet he was all she had.

The warmth of Jaime against her skin drove out the chill that had clung to her since she left the bath. She could feel the weight of him, solid and reassuring, beneath her. The way he looked at her, with an intensity that both startled and thrilled her, made her pulse quicken. She was aware of every inch of his body -- as if it was sculpted to fit with her own, an echo of the void she had always felt inside. And when their mouths met once more, the world outside ceased to exist; there were no battles to be fought, no thrones to claim, only the two of them, suspended in a moment crafted in desire.

As he lifted her, she felt the rush of air wrap around her and the gentle shift of their bodies ignited a new fire inside her. Straddling him, there was power in that -- an authority she hadn’t realized she missed until it flowed through her like molten iron. Daenerys reveled in the sensation of his hands upon her, the way his fingers spread over her hip, guiding and encouraging her movements. With each subtle roll against him, she felt the tension threading through them, a taut string pulling tighter with every breath she took. "You have some very large shoes to fill. I hope you know that."

"My flight has been cancelled. It's some absurd weather problem."

"I don't understand why it's so difficult to confirm an appointment."

"That's not what I… no, no, that was different. I didn't have a choice."

"By all means move, at a glacial pace. You know how that thrills me."

"And that's my problem because… Oh, wait. No, it's not my problem."

"I can get another girl to take your job in five minute One who really wants it."

"You thought I didn't know. I've known what was happening for quite some time."

"But what if this isn't what I want? I mean, what if I don't wanna live the way you live?"

"Let me know when your whole life goes up in smoke. Means it's time for a promotion."

"Oh no, you chose. You chose to get ahead. You want this life, those choices are necessary."

"I'm just saying that I would just like a little credit… for the fact that I'm killing myself trying."

"You can look beyond what people want, and what they need, and you can choose for yourself."

"You have no idea how many legends have walked these halls. And what's worse, you don't care."

"Yes, because that's really what this whole multibillion-dollar industry is all about, isn't it? Inner beauty."

"I'm on this new diet. Well, I don't eat anything. And when I feel like I'm about to faint, I eat a cube of cheese."

"Well, clearly I'm going to have to do that myself, because the last two you sent me were completely inadequate, so..."

"I don't know what else I can do because if I do something right, it's unacknowledged. She doesn't even say thank you. But if I do something wrong, she is vicious."

“Of course, I would not want to cause you any more inconveniences.” Freya rolled her eyes but there was a hint of amusement in her voice. She didn’t quite know where it was coming from as their situation was anything but amusing but she was still grateful that he could make her feel this way right now. A quick look down at her dress, she hated to agree with him.

❝ You don’t understand, love, ❞ Cersei’s voice trembled as it slipped from her lips, the weight of her words hanging painfully in the air. ❝ Dorne is already against the Lannister's. ❞ She could see Myrcella’s brow furrow in concern, the innocence of the girl slowly fraying at the edges like an old tapestry. ❝ Have you not heard the murmurs ? The whispers that follow your name ? The Martell's will expect their due. They believe in power born from blood, and our family carries more secrets than most. ❞ The room felt confined, suffocating her as visions of betrayal danced like shadows in her mind. The air felt charged, the scent of jasmine battling the musty remnants of an ancient stone castle. As she spoke, she could almost taste the bitterness on her tongue, the knowledge that Dorne’s so-called allegiance could unravel in an instant.

The sun still poured through the window, but it felt colder now -- a chill that seeped into her bones. Cersei drew back, needing space to breathe, to think. ❝ You want to practice with Jaime ? ❞ She couldn’t quite hide the edge in her tone. It would seem once again Jamie was picked over her. Not that she could wield a sword and teach Myrcella herself, but this was a pattern she was seeing more and more. Everyone she loved always seemed to gravitate to someone other than HER. She was losing her control of everyone. The thought leaving a bitter taste in her mouth.

Cersei lifted her head as she prepared to speak again, her heart raced at the thought of Myrcella training with Jaime. The implications twisted in her stomach, a gnawing anxiety as her mind grappled with it. She had seen the effect of swords on flesh, the way a blade could turn gentle hearts to cold stone. The very thought of her daughter seeking such a path sent a shiver coursing through her. ❝ We will be sending the Martell boy home. As for the sword training, it’s something I’m going to have to think about. ❞

Her eyes moved to her feet, Myrcella had been free in Dorne. She could do whatever she pleased as long as she stayed within the grounds. Now that she was home, Cersei had her claws in her again. She wasn’t free to decide on her life choices, now she had to ask permission. “With my father, yes” she spoke quietly, making sure only they could hear within the walls of her chambers. Even with jaime losing a hand, he was still a strong swordsman, fighting with him would help teach Myrcella new skills. She had learnt the dornish way of fighting, now it was time to learn the Lannister way.

Melisandre’s lips curled slightly at his threat, and her heart raced with the challenge in his voice. She had seen the flames, felt their heat, and yet here stood before her a man trembling with defiance, his resolve as palpable as the scent of burning wood. Something about the way he gripped her wrist ignited a flicker of intrigue — a spark that stirred beneath the surface of her calm composure.

❝ You are quick to defend them, ❞ she stated softly, the smoothness of her tone contrasting with the sharpness of his words. ❝ But blind loyalty can be a double-edged sword. You believe you stand guard over your kin, yet you deny the truth that may yet serve them. ❞

With each word, she felt the tension rolling off his body, felt the heat radiating between them — an electric charge in the dim chamber. She lifted a brow, a gesture that echoed both amusement and confidence. ❝ What if it is not your children’s fate I seek to alter ? What if, instead, I’m here to guide you toward a path that could grant them a brighter future ? ❞ The flickering torchlight caught the glimmer of her eyes, revealing depths within them that hinted at secrets best left unspoken.

“And what path may that be, Melisandre? I’m nothing more than a kingslayer who guards Robert for the sake of my family. I don’t want more or less. I’m happy where I am” the lion said softly with a snigger. “I don’t need your help or your fake gods help, I am content” jaime said with a groan.

"Oh, it's alright, Mr. Jenkins! You honestly didn't need to go that far..." Miss Honey assured Theo, smiling at him warmly. "Evie's presence in my class is enough of a gift for me a-and I promise I'm not just saying that! She's a joy to have in class."

Joanna had been surprised by her son's reaction. It wasn't something she expected from Jaime. She sat down and looked at her little boy. "Why did you react that way then, Jaime?" She asked.

“Did  you  find  my  mother  beautiful  when  you  stabbed  my  father  in  the  back?  When  she  was  forced  to  flee  her  home?”  A  breath  escaped  her,  she  could  have  almost  laughed  at  the  sheer  audacity.  Every  story  that  she  had  heard  of  the  kingslayer  seemed  to  be  true,  his  attitude  was  infuriating  and  lit  a  fire  that  she  had  not  felt  in  such  a  long  time.  “I  hope  you  have  not  forgotten  what  you  are.  Kingslayer.  A traitor  that  will  never  wash  away  his  ‘legacy’.” 

Jaime slowly moved to the table, grabbing a goblet as he poured out some much needed wine. He took a long sip, savouring the dornish taste, thankful that someone was smart enough to provide only the best. “You’d hoped for a better introduction, didn’t you? I can see the disappointment in your eyes. I know you had always wanted my death and now— you can’t go through with it” Jaime pointed out before placing the goblet down.
