By which I mean, asks used to be WAY more of the tumblr economy. They used to be more common to send, and receive, and see. They were integral to the collaborative, forum-like behavior of old tumblr communities, not even to speak on the HUGE number of ask-blogs that used to exist to only be interacted with in ask-form.

Ok I finally finished 91W and this is the best thing I can draw to describe how Im feeling right now. Time for the sequels!!!

Jokes aside, wow, that was an amazing, beautifully sad ride, I completely understand now why it's mentioned so often. I don't usually ever cry at fic but this got me multiple times!

The working title for this piece was “The Dumpster Kiss™,” and honestly… it still makes me laugh every time. 😭

A little epilogue to my 80s diner AU comic. I couldn’t stop thinking about what happened after the last page, so naturally I had to paint it.

i love the underlying factor in brokeback mountain that jack taught ennis it's okay to love

there's no doubt in my head that ennis loved his daughters, but he never really had a strong bond with them. he definitely valued jack over his own family, because that was somebody he truly loved and had, probably his first, real connection

i never have doubts that ennis loved jack, it's clear he did, but they loved so differently it could be hard to see it. compared to jack, ennis is very closed off and guarded, especially with his emotions and sexual orientation (even with jack, someone who also was gay)

over time jack obviously was able to get through whatever walls ennis had built up around himself, we see it in how comfortable ennis grows with jack. the tent scene where jack takes the lead, pulling ennis in and lying on top of him. the speech scene, where ennis breaks down in jacks arms. the motel (?) scene where jack is holding ennis in bed

jack showed ennis that love wasn't something to be scared of or run away from. connections and bonds weren't the monster under the bed, and especially in their case, ennis unfortunately learned not to take any relationships for granted, or overlook their importance to you

i love the end of the movie where ennis' daughter comes by, because that's where we really see jacks impact on ennis life, even after his death. ennis tells his daughter he'll be at her wedding, and he wants to see her more often. ennis is finally letting people in, finally accepting that love is okay. with jack gone, he realizes now the importance of the relationships and the people you have in your life
