We talk a lot about the whole "for you, for all of us" scene right before Loki goes out to destroy the Loom, but I don't think we talk enough about the moment right before that, where the camera pans slowly around Loki, who is standing separately from everyone else, who are all looking at the Loom while he looks at them, and for the first time in centuries there’s a slow moment- for the first time in centuries Loki isn’t in a rush to do something, since he’s finally figured it out, and there’s that smile to himself, where he looks closer to tears than ever, because he’s going to save them, and he's never going to see them again, then the slow (but not hesitant) walk across the room to a set of stairs he's been up and down a million times, and instead of hearing the sound of time breaking apart outside all we’ve been able to hear is music- until Mobius talks, and the muffled “hey” cuts through it all. Just like that the moment is over, Loki is in a hurry again, there’s no more time to waste, and he has to leave, he has got to be on the other side of that door by the time they reach him because he doesn’t want to go but he has to.

*gripping you by the shoulders and speaking with off putting intensity* I don’t think there was something unique about the Loki that became the God of Stories and Time. I think the majority of Loki variants would have done the same thing in his situation. The message of the whole thing isn’t “this Loki is different” the message is “this is Loki”. It’s not “this Loki is special because he chooses to do all this” it’s “this is what Loki will choose to do here”. We see other Loki’s die with the same motivation. We see Classic Loki die distracting Alioth so there’s a chance to stop the TVA and give variants across the multiverse a chance to survive and we see sacred timeline Loki sacrifice himself to Thanos, to give Thor a chance to make it out alive. It’s not that this particular Loki would sacrifice everything for a place he cared about and people he loved, it’s that Loki will sacrifice everything for a place he cares about and people he loves. Do you understand. It’s very important to me that you understand. Where are you going come back.

just to clarify, i’m not opposing the season, i loved it in fact!! it was just… somewhat excruciating despite the fact we all knew it was coming ☹️

He understands that some of the best stories are tragedies. And I understand, too. 🙃 HOWEVER. That doesn't mean I have to like it. Or that I can handle it. 😭
