i’m turning my grief and sorrow into hope.

i don’t think anyone has to do the same. we can all deal with loss and grief however we want, like i love that for us.

but i’ve realized that i am more resilient than i ever thought or expected to be. and it’s not that i can’t sit and feel my feelings because i have for two weeks now. but today marks a day of healing. the day that i’ve gotten over the hump of despair that i was grappling with getting over.

i guess i understand why they call them “rainbow babies”. because there’s so much hope in me now. there’s so much excitement for the future and the fact that i have no clue what any of it holds.

today i’m hopeful. today i’m strong. today i’m okay. today i want to help others.
