the book would take 2 seasons to cover BUT events from qotd would slowly start unfolding

s3 should be mostly abt lestats past with more flashbacks but still interwoven w whatever is happening in the main plot with some foundations for qotd laid... mfw they say tvl was gonna be like hedwig and the angry inch and then there was NONE of the narrative structure. the flashbacks couldve been complemented by the songs.... think abt it.... tvl as a musical... velvet goldmine style. more of what they did w the magnus flashback. that was cool. i liked that. in fact i wouldve maybe ditched the vibe we had w daniels doc and make it more of an .. album making of doc? iykwim... so kind of structured around specific events and the songs that correspond and it could then fit an 8 ep per season format and have one song per episode explaining certain events and then the plot going on the rest of the episode or themed after it which is Almost what they did with tvl now...........

the narration from the future thru those records can stay i think its a fun framing device but with a more somber tone i know that lestat is a self absorbed loser but its no excuse to write wordvomit nothingburgers bc lestat is also POETIC AF when he wants to. hes supposed to be charming...... why am i not charmed

go more subtle on the gabriestat bc the way it was done in this timeline is just.. tacky. misogynistic even. ALSO GIVE MY PARENT THEIR TRANSMASC SWAG......... not to say they shouldnt fuck i just think they made it too big of a deal too early so to speak.... and then moved on from it too fast...

MORE LOUIS EXPLORED... and his grief. also lestats grief/guilt. i think that lestat was taking being haunted a bit too well. it shouldve been more gradual and more traumatic for him. also less nicki haunting him and more CLAUDIA haunting him and if claudia haunted Haunted lestat we couldve gotten a good reason for the merrick reference bc both lestat and louis are becoming very miserable and would want to contact claudia and she can still say all that nasty shit to them but it has to FUCK lestat and louis up so bad that it changes the trajectory of their lives i need them suicidal for a whole episode fr... maybe it should happen earlier in the season so for example louis spirals and contacts regina THEN and lestat goes and reimagines his album as a result

the great conversion plot can stay it adds to the stakes a bit
