i think it's normal to be upset and disheartened over the fact that something you loved so deeply has been stripped of all its meaning and essentially twisted into a completely different (and worse) show. criticizing that and the obvious racism/sexism that's been a focal point of this season does not make you a hater or a bitter fan that should just "stop watching and leave the fandom" because you won't be missed by the other fans or showrunners....fandom culture has not changed at all in the past twenty years and it's disappointing but ig not all that surprising to see :/

look i WISH more horror movies were just the directors thinly disguised fetish. instead we got all these horror movies that are just undisguised reflections of culturally hegemonic values and anxieties. like if we got some weird fetishes up in here it would probably add some variety thats all im saying.
