lestat and gabriella ruining my life again. the way the episode starts with lestats incessant texting to gabriella (after she went away to punish him because he got upset with her for breaking a boundary!!) until she finally promises to show up again

and then when she doesn’t show up after all lestat keeps calling her until he eventually tells her to no longer bother which is ultimately the thing that gets her to return to his side

lestat can call her out for breaking promises and abandoning him but she immediately turns it back on him by making him look unreasonable. it’s so interesting how in this scene they both fall back on the respective dynamics that give them power over one another. lestat leveraging his role as her maker over her while gabriella acts more like his mother again (telling him to grow up as well which also emphasizes her being older than him)
