Bedroom tatami load-out

After a years' long deliberation - tatami, boards, or new floor - we've chosen a tatami master to remove, remake, recover, and reinstall our existing mats.

We have been watching this shoin for over ten years, ourselves and some Tokyo friends considered buying, and it is very inspiring to see someone investing in a re-thatch. Notably as the original thatch was removed after damage, a metal roof installed, and since removed to allow a magnificent re-thatching to be undertaken.
