Chauncey could have not tripped and successfully executed Stede. And Ed wouldn't hear the gunshot and he would still believe Stede abandoned him and he would still go back to The Revenge and he would still go full Blackbeard again. He would still be angry and heartbroken at his lovely dead boyfriend who did nothing wrong.

He grabs Crowley be the shoulder (the same way he does whenever theres love around) and then when Saraqael is about to turn Nina and Maggie into pillars of salt he doesnt even notice and Crowley has to take charge. Aziraphale is just so immersed in this forbidden love.

And then when Crowley comes back in the shop Aziraphale is asking what Gabriel and Beelzebub would like and they say they just want to be together. Crowley says Alpha Centauri is nice and Aziraphale smiles at him and then looks away realizing all he wants is the same as the Gabriel and Beelzebub.
