To be quite honest with you all I do think that aro/ace-spectrum fans in fandoms where people are desperately inventing crossover ships and humanizing non-human characters in order to have a conventionally attractive guy to ship the main character with, instead of possibly having to enjoy a story with no romance in it, have the right to refer to everyone else as cowards.

Realized something, actually: one of the differences between Von Karmas' shoulder wounds is how intentional the shot has been.
Manfred was hit by a bullet on complete accident: the trigger wasn't even pulled on purpose. It wasn't about him as a prosecutor, it wasn't about him as a person, it wasn't about him at all!
Franizska, though? She is shot because she is a competent prosecutor to be reckoned with, whose reputation makes it seem like a very bad choice for either bribes or threats. (I'd argue she could definitely be threatened the way Wright and Justine were, but. You'd have to be acquaintance of at least level 4 to guess it.)
