im a huge trucy fan and im literally so sick of how she's treated in fanfic for the sake of narumitsu like at this point people know her more as "phoenix's cute kid who is used as a prop for nrmt" more than they know her for her actual traits like her intelligence (figuring out big parts of the cases herself and having her own banter with Klavier in court!), how she can quickly think on her feet in a desperate situation (the fake kidnapping in turnabout corner, moving the stagelifts in the magical turnabout), her masking, how quick she is to discard her own feelings for other's sake, how she carries so much grief and sadness but pretends Everything Is Fine, how she clings onto the Gramarye Creed like a lifeline because what will she have left if she isn't smiling and cheerful all the time, her relationship with other characters like her ACTUAL MOM, Apollo, Athena, Pearl, etc etc. all of that is just kinda shelved so she can prop up NRMT as a ship :/

Totally get it. This may be partially the fault that she doesn’t have as big of a role in aa5 and aa6 as she did in aa4, but you’re right, she’s a very deep and multifaceted character that (honestly, like Apollo [which, don’t get me STARTED on how he gets treated]) gets dumbed down sometimes to just be “Miles and Phoenix’s kid.” I really love in fics and art when they talk about/depict her going to college, because she’s literally like 17/18 by the end of the series?? Even if she isn’t a legal adult she would be really soon timeline wise, and she’d realistically be starting to do some adult-ish things on her own (if she hasn’t been already)(which, like, she definitely has. She’s literally been making an income as a magician). Her dynamics with other characters are so fun to see, ESPECIALLY her banter with Apollo! Shit’s hilarious to watch! And like you said, she’s incredibly intelligent and a quick thinker, helping Apollo out multiple times with information she’s gathered or ideas she’s come up with. But she ends up getting the Maya treatment at times, where some people act as if she’s really one-dimensional and is only there to joke about how Phoenix is unmarried. Which is a joke she made like only once in the games btw, and she said she wanted a mother anyways…
