Indulge in the rich and decadent flavors of dark chocolate and almonds with this Dark Chocolate Almond Tart. It's a perfect dessert for chocolate lovers, and the almond flour crust adds a delightful nutty crunch.
Ingredients: 1 1/4 cups almond flour. 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder. 1/4 cup melted dark chocolate. 1/4 cup melted coconut oil. 1/4 cup maple syrup. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/2 cup sliced almonds. 6 ounces dark chocolate 70% cocoa or higher, chopped. 1/2 cup heavy cream. 1 tablespoon unsalted butter.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 350F 175C. In a bowl, combine almond flour, cocoa powder, melted dark chocolate, melted coconut oil, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until you have a dough-like consistency. Press the dough into a tart pan, covering the bottom and the sides evenly. Prick the crust with a fork to prevent bubbles from forming while baking. Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until it's set. Remove from the oven and let it cool while you prepare the filling. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just starts to simmer. Remove from heat and pour it over the chopped dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Let it sit for a minute, then stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth. Stir in the unsalted butter until fully incorporated. Pour the chocolate ganache into the cooled tart crust and spread it evenly. Sprinkle the sliced almonds on top of the ganache. Refrigerate the tart for at least 2 hours to allow it to set. Once the tart has set, remove it from the tart pan, slice, and serve. Enjoy your Dark Chocolate Almond Tart!
