“But Moon and Piper !!” Yeah they were cool until the writers just kinda broke them up and made Moon into Hawk’s motivation during the All Valley in season 4 like what is up with this show and making the female characters into “prizes” :-:

Yknow what would’ve been cooler? Literally just reprising Demetri’s little speech to Hawk in episode 6 of the same season and making that Hawk’s motivation liek it’s that easy. Just have Demetri give him a lil pep talk like “Hey man just so yk this is rlly crazy but you’ll always be my binary bro whether u win or lose” or something and there u go it may not be the best thing but it takes away the forced hetero-ness and makes use of already established strong character dynamics

This show isn’t a stranger to making gay implications with them either considering in the Hawk vs Robby fight literally like minutes after that Robby threw his gi to Tory (his love interest) while Hawk threw his to Demetri?? That’s crazy??

So this week's prompt kinda reminded me of this roleswap au I wrote forever ago, and the mental image of Demetri chasing Eli through the computer lab like a psycho instead of vice versa (which, hilariously, was probably my absolute fave mini-scene to write in that AU). Demetri seems to be canonically faster, so I don't think it would end well for poor Eli D:

Demetri dashes off the playground’s edge, cheering. Eli’s left stumbling after.

“Unfair!”

Demetri leans on a tree, flashing a gap-toothed grin. “You’re such a sore loser.”

“Who cares about winning a 2-person race?”

8 years later, being chased through the computer lab by a Cobra-Kai-brainwashed Demetri, Eli’s losing again.

“Little Eli Moskowitz! Can’t run forever.”

Spidery arms ensnare Eli’s waist, turning him and slamming him against the wall.

“Always in last place, aren’t we?” Demetri smirks.

Green eyes flash in the darkness, a bony fist raising.
