Even if I don't play like I used to, I'm thankful to still be playing. I play with a group of outstanding women - mother's, engineers, lawyers, soccer coaches, college students. I play with women, who used to be my opponent. I play with women I've known for two months, some I've known for 20 years (@kmhoedtke). Some play for fun, some are more serious. Others play to get a good workout and some play to socialize and meet friends. I play with women in their thirties, and I play with women who have just turned twenty one. If it wasn't for the #beautifulgame, I would have never had the opportunity to meet such great people, who give me confidence and make me smile - even if they don't realize it - they empower me. nikhak turned 5 today!

Nearly two years ago I got an injury from playing soccer and was sideline from most exercise for six months. Since then whenever I try to get back on the wagon and when I am ready to play and committed to getting out there - a nagging injury occurs. My birthday is Saturday - is this just another sign of my age showing? Am I just an unlucky lady? 20 min on the bike at the gym today, some lifting, and some lunges - couldn't play in my game tonight.
