Officer having anxiety attack took ambulance sent for man dying from police shooting, report says

A man who was shot by police and later died had to wait 10 extra minutes for an ambulance after an officer having a “mild anxiety attack” took the first one that arrived at the scene, according to a newly released state investigation.

Dyshan Best, 39, was shot in the back last year as he fled from officers in Bridgeport, Connecticut. A report released Tuesday by the state’s inspector general found that the shooting was justified because Best had a gun in his hand and the officer pursuing him had reasons to fear for his own safety.

But the report raised questions about what took place after the March 31 shooting, which left Best, who was Black, bleeding with severe internal injuries.

The first ambulance called to take Best to the hospital arrived at the scene at 6:02 p.m., about 14 minutes after the shooting. However, at the urging of other officers, that ambulance was used to take away a white police officer, Erin Perrotta, who had been involved in the foot chase, the report said.

Paramedics reported that Perrotta declined treatment in the ambulance.

This is my first lot I am sharing on here! I'm really excited to see what everyone thinks!

I REALLY wanted to upload something awhile ago for pride month, but time got away from me, and I didn't get anything made. After exchanging build ideas with @nectar-cellar, I decided it would be fun to go ahead and renovate The Grind in Bridgeport. I wanted to keep it recognizable while also adding more activities.

I do own all of the packs, but I believe I only used World Adventures, Ambitions, Late Night, Showtime, University Life, Pets and Supernatural. Possibly High end loft for the guitar amp.

The CC I used includes a sign from here by @mspoodle1, pride flags from @martassimsbook, and this air conditioner from @bioniczombie. I also used this to assign some extra npcs and give the club some more life, but its not the biggest deal. Also a store item, available here by @blamseastore.

Outside of that I used a handful of debug items and this mod to place them by @omedapixel. I'm not quite sure if they are necessary for everything to look as intended but wanted to include it anyway. And the transmogrifier mod was used on a few of those items just to make sure sims won't mess with them.
