It's Opening Night

These are a few songs I can think of that might fit:

“Climbing Uphill” from The Last 5 YearsThis song gives off a very A Chorus Line vibe, being about Kathy’s experience trying out for shows.

“It Won’t be Long” from In the HeightsSimilar to “Nothing” in format and feelings, being both fun and serious. Starting out serious, then gradually getting more serious.

“Maps” from Fun HomeHas that same reminiscent feeling that a lot of the songs in A Chorus Line have, being about the different characters and their past experiences.

“I’d Give My Life for You” from Miss SaigonMaybe? It’s a little too serious, but it does captures the desperation that the characters in A Chorus Line feel trying to get a role in the chorus, and both this song and “What I Did for Love” have a similar theme of being about being willing to do what you have to for love. Having said this, the song is pretty serious, so it’s a bit of a stretch. Haha.
