"I don't want to read this" is totally valid.
"This is disgusting to me" is totally valid.
"I don't want to read this because it is disgusting to me" is totally valid.
"I don't think anyone should be allowed to read or write this because it is disgusting to me" is authoritarian.
"I don't think anyone should be allowed to read or write this because it is disgusting to me" is authoritarian.
Bro, blocking someone and then using their tag like this is, all offence, weak as fuck. Like all you had to say was, na bro I don't promote pedo protags on this here blog, because I wholly agree with the premise of your argument given contexts (i.e., writing abusive relationships to show the evils, great; writing abusive relationships to show the romance, yikes).
This response is so, so comically shitty within the context of that tag, oh my god.
"I don't think anyone should be allowed to read or write this because it is disgusting to me" is authoritarian.
"I don't think anyone should be allowed to read or write this because it is disgusting to me" is authoritarian.
"Censorship of some topics in fiction and art is good and I would be happy if it were to be enacted in a way I approved of"
and
"some things should be banned from ever being written or read about in fiction"
are both authoritarian viewpoints to hold and express, even if you don't have the power to enact them.
If you hold these viewpoints you are holding authoritarian viewpoints.
DUDE IT’S PEDO FICS EVERYBODY THINKS THEY’RE NASTY
Let me explain this to you in simple terms.
Something being nasty is not a good reason to ban fiction about it.
If we accept that "something being nasty is a good reason to bad fiction about it" then we give a foot in the door for all the people who truly, genuinely believe that queer people are nasty to ban all queer literature.
This is not about defending bad people this is about defending the freedom of good people from tyranny, you moron.
I think if you take it to its logical extreme. Say, banning people from writing stories of sexual abuse. That could then be said "well ANY talk about sexual abuse is bad."
And from that, you could ban books that talk about it irl. Or books like how to recover after being abuse. If its not something to be discussed AT ALL.
The fact that I’ve seen this post in some form on my dash like 100x and each time there’s new idiots who do not get that you can’t have *some* censorship.
Either you’re for it or you aren’t.
The moment you agree that something should never, ever exist in fiction is the moment that anything can be banned.
Remember a while back how Tumblr banned a bunch of tags, including many popular innocuous ones that even people who are for censorship used and were upset about?
When censorship happens, stuff YOU like can and will be banned. That’s how it works.
Remember how a bunch of people had their accounts terminated here only last year for writing about their own sexual abuse?
When you ban “pedo” topics, say, any talk of child sexual abuse in any form, that means people can no longer write about their own experiences. It means people cannot educate others so they can learn how to protect themselves or get help from these situations.
Censorship is authoritarian. Full stop.
Even if “everyone” agrees something is “gross” and “shouldn’t exist,” that does not fucking matter.
Do you know who generally believes queer people are gross and shouldn’t exist??
The same people who are banning books left and right solely because they have queer characters or relationships.
The same people who attack and kill queer folk for simply exisiting.
This is not just some fandom matter or a case of being chronically online.
Protecting freedom of expression is essential, and if you do not get that, I don’t know what to say to you.
And the people who keep bringing up child sex abuse as a reason for censorship are doing it very specifically because everyone feels like then they HAVE to agree with the person in favor of censorship.
It’s not that there isn’t widespread societal agreement on this. It’s that they want you backed into a rhetorical corner where you feel compelled to agree with them.
Also, like, we KNOW how this shit shakes out in fandom because it's happened before.
In 2007, Livejournal capitulated to the "pedophilia and sex crimes!" cries of (hate group) Warriors 4 Innocence, and you know what communities got shut down? Slashfic communities. Sexual assault survivor support communities. Authors who'd written non-smut m/m fic even got caught up in it. It was DEVASTATING to fandom spaces. I think pretty much everyone knew at least one person whose account was literally DELETED, or were a member of a community that was wiped off the map because they were considerate enough to include topics like "sexual assault" or "BDSM" in the profiles under the badly-named category of "interests" to indicate that posts on said blogs or communities may include discussion of things like that. Even if it was for a SUPPORT group. And it was because a group of religious bigots came to LJ and said essentially "EVERYONE thinks it's gross and that it's promoting CSA, we should ban it."
Like, strikethrough and boldthrough were a large part of what propelled AO3 out of a more unfocused conversation on one person's blog about hosting a site INTENDED for fandom content, into being an actual archive and nonprofit. And it's a large part of why you won't find AO3 banning topics that you find "gross".
Censorship is authoritarian and it will ALWAYS have more collateral damage than you can imagine.
Going to add that fiction which had sexual abuse and communities which played around with it as a writing topic are the very things that protected me from irl sexual abuse when I was a teenager. I was in a dicey situation, and realized that while my situation did not match up to any of the superficial or textbook cases mentioned in passing (if at all) through school, it matched up a LOT to what I'd learned about irl sexual abuse through works of fiction and the rhetoric of my communities. I got out of that situation and dodged what was, in retrospect, one hell of a nasty bullet. If it hadn't been for that "nasty" fiction and those "nasty" communities, I would very likely have been abused, and subject to further violence spiraling out from that abuse.
you can’t have *some* censorship.
Yup! It really is, in fact, pretty much that simple:
"I don't think anyone should be allowed to read or write this because it is disgusting to me" is authoritarian.
Storytime!
I had a friend. We were 12. We had just discovered fanfiction and were obsessed. We read anything and everything we could get our hands on. One of the stories we read was a "pedo fic." It exposed us to scenarios and language that hadn't ever been touched on in Sex Ed at school or with our parents. To be frank, it "corrupted our young minds with topics we shouldn't have to deal with." It also gave my friend words to finally describe why her neighbor creeped her out so much. "He's creepy and weird" gets a 12 year old scolded and lectured on being nicer. "He's a sexual predator" gets adults asking questions and involving the cops. Her neighbor "moved away."
Censorship is pro-pedo and anti-child-safety. There is no communicating what's wrong if there are no words to describe what's happening. Bad things will happen whether you have the words to ask for help or not. Censorship takes those words away.
"I don't think anyone should be allowed to read or write this because it is disgusting to me" is authoritarian.
“Bad things will happen whether you have the words to ask for help or not. Censorship takes those words away.”

In case anyone finds it helpful because mobility aids are horrifically expensive and inaccessible…
And for those people who have access to mobility devices but might benefit from a second chair they can abuse without risking expensive damage…
Erik Kondo has made a website, Open Source Innovations, that details plans for DIY wheelchairs. These wheelchairs can be made from common materials like wood, plastic, and pvc. They are lightweight and can be custom fit to the user allowing from the same degree of movement you would get from a custom chair. And they are durable and easily repairable. (he has been stress testing his latest design by dropping it down stairs, dropping it out of a car, launching it across a driveway, and throwing it off a deck). Its 12lbs and I think he said its was in the $200 ish range for parts.
He also is working on cheap, open source, accessible designs for beach chairs, off road chairs, motorized attachments (think smart drive), and so on. Plus he skateboards in his wheelchair. Cool dude, helpful info, pass it on.
It's incredibly sad people have to resort to this, but it's a damn good resource. Use it. Spread awareness. Maybe one day people with physical disabilities won't need DIYs like this. But until then, reblog and share.
This is Accessibility!
That's so amazing! It is unfortunate that so many people will need this, but very very cool that it exists
That other link seems to be broken.
Thank you so much for putting the working one!
I will add it to my original reblog as well.
hello physically disabled person reading this. it is not your fault that your medical supplies are made from a lot of single use plastic and you can continue using them guilt free. your health comes first. thank you for existing.
if your insulin pump has lithium batteries and the tubing is plastic,
if your ostomy bags, incontinence supplies, and sanitary wipes are single-use,
if your joint replacement, bone plate, pins & screws, or spinal hardware is cobalt & chrome,
if your meds come in a plastic container you can’t recycle or reuse for sterility,
you are still innocent. you didn’t choose this particular life. we all must do what we can to survive and that includes using technology and consuming resources. it is only human and we all do it.
some people out there own several yachts and don’t ever consider the impact it has on the world. there’s nothing to be gained by beating yourself up for doing the bare minimum for a comfortable, livable, safe & long life.
Just want to add, don’t cut corners. Don’t risk your life when there are people who could do a lot more without risking theirs.
Don’t reuse the syringe. Don’t use cloths over alcohol swabs. Choose the battery powered device over the rechargeable if it means you can carry spares. Don’t use the reusable container if you can’t get it open. Don’t choose the reusable option if you can’t keep it clean. Don’t overfill the sharps container. Don’t improvise the tourniquet. Don’t eat the expired food if you can’t afford to be sick. Don’t choose the sustainable option if it doesn’t meet your needs.
Your life is not others’ priority so it has to be yours.
Adding to this some specific advice I am constantly reminding myself.
Fed is best!!!
If eating the pre-packaged food means you might have energy for other things you want to do later then do that!
If you have to take a frozen dinner to work for your lunch because you can't stand leftover food and so meal prepping doesn't work for you, then take the frozen dinner that you know you will actually eat.
Don't feel bad for eating the same thing multiple times in a row, if that's all you can eat then that's what you should eat!
If you can't stomach an entire meal but are able to snack on a granola bar and some applesauce, that's beautiful! Some food is far better than no food.
lookism is when people claim an artists' art style was always "ugly" the second said artist becomes problematic
This is adjacent to lookism, it's also following the idea that beauty is the equator to Goodness and Uglynes to badness, but it's not exactactly about someone's looks (real or fictional), but the artstyle of the creator.
I can never trust that any of my art actually looks good because I’ve had people compliment it and then as soon as I do something they don’t like they start calling it bad and ugly. Don’t fucking lie to me about what you really think of my art, I WILL find out one day and be pissed off about it!

Kids need age-appropriate sex ed to prevent sexual abuse, yes, but also because they're autonomous people who deserve to be educated on things, and kids (despite how uncomfortable it may make you) can be sexual beings too.*
Many kids masturbate from very early years. Studies show that kids often masturbate starting at the age of 3-5, and usually only stop because the adults around them shame and humiliate them (often through religious guilt and/or purity culture), rather than just telling them what they're doing and why they should be doing it in private.
Many kids sexually touch each other, too. This includes siblings and cousins and whatnot (studies show extremely high incest rates between young children because they don't understand its not a familial act), because they don't know any better, and you have to teach them if you expect them not to do that.
Kids deserve to understand what is happening to their bodies, deserve proper explanations of their feelings, and deserve to understand how to be safe sexually.
(*No, this is not me saying they can consent to adults, don't twist my words, thanks. Also please no conflation of child predator with pedophile on reblogs, they are not the same thing [link] and most child predators do not have pedophilic disorder [link.])
What to do if you suddenly find yourself homeless
FOOD
Find your nearest food bank or mission, for food
grocery stores with free samples, bakeries + stores with day-old bread
different fast food outlets have cheaper food and will generally let you hang out for a while.
some dollar stores carry food like cans of beans or fruit
SHELTER
Sleeping at beaches during the day is a good way to avoid suspicion and harassment
sleep with your bag strapped to you, so someone can’t steal it
Some churches offer short term residence
Find your nearest homeless shelter
Look for places that are open to the public
A large dumpster near a wall can often be moved so that flipping up the lids creates an angled shelter to stay dry
HYGIENE
A membership to the YMCA is usually only 10$, which has a shower, and sometimes laundry machines and lockers.
Public libraries have bathrooms you can use
Dollar stores carry low-end soaps and deodorant etc.
Wet wipes are all purpose and a life saver
Local beaches, go for a quick swim
Some truck stops have showers you can pay for
Staying clean is the best way to prevent disease, and potentially get a job to get back on your feet
Pack 7 pairs of socks/undies, 2 outfits, and one hooded rain jacket
OTHER
first aid kit
sunscreen
a travel alarm clock or watch
mylar emergency blanket
a backpack is a must
downgrade your cellphone to a pay as you go with top-up cards
sleeping bag
travel kit of toothbrush, hair brush/comb, mirror
swiss army knife
can opener
Reblog to literally save a life
if there is a Dollar Tree near you, they have entire food aisles
Planet Fitness also has $10 memberships. you can shower and they have free food days! pizza night 1st monday every month, bagel tuesday the 2nd tuesday every month.
Save a life reblog
i am so glad that i renblogged this however so long ago. i saw this post and shared it with others in mind, but now i am the one who really needs this. id like to think of this as good karma i guess
also a good list if anyone ever needs to run away from home for whatever reason.
probably worth keeping around.
yes to downgrading your phone plan to a pay-as-you-go, including getting a different phone, but if you have a smartphone hang onto it. There are places with free wifi access that you can use without going inside, meaning you can have access to the internet throughout most urban areas, and it can be convenient to have bookmarks and contact info and the ability to text, which even in places with public computers like libraries you can’t have
Also, in regards to phones, there are programs that offer free phones and service if you receive things like food stamps and Medicaid. They might not be the nicest phones and at least the one I had didn’t have unlimited talk, but it’s something.
That ask from @emma-goose-sheep-tooth-fairy made me remember this post and I thought everyone here would like to have it too.

Adding a resource for Australians. Orange Sky is a free service that offers laundry and showers. It is available in most capital and many regional cities
Browse our locations and find a shift near you. Orange Sky's mobile laundry and shower services operate in over 40 locations across Australi
tl;dr: Everyone who needs a car should get a hatchback and food stamps are everything.
Going on 6 months homeless now and have to say PLEASE search online for your local resources immediately. Even within the same county, I reached out to maybe 20 resources before being able to get into a shelter. The one that helped me was a mental illness and substance use recovery nonprofit that told me which homeless outreach division to contact. Where I live, these are departments within local police. I was eventually placed in the shelter I’m currently in through that roundabout way.
On top of that, I only found out about the nonprofit that gave me that advice because a mental health org i was already familiar with.
The shelters in my county are always full and there are multiple. From what I’ve seen, there are always more beds for men than women too, so your gender identity will shape your odds too.
I was in inpatient and residential for a month and was released to live in my car. Even while at a shelter now, the housing navigators never find places for residents and the only hope people have is through external case managers through their insurance or the og plan: moving in with a partner or family. With the latter, I’m seeing like 4 adults and 3 kids in 2 bedrooms.
Idk, this is a long rant but in short: everything is region dependent. Going to food banks didn’t work for me because besides fruit and PB it was all things that needed microwaving at minimum.
In my situation, these things were key:
I intentionally bought my car for car camping when i chose it. The months living in my car would have been even worse if it wasn’t a hatchback.
I was able to donate plasma to get cash quick, a out $80/week in average. But I didn’t get those funds if I wasn’t getting enough protein and ended up deferred
SNAP/EBT/food stamps were most important because my state offers a special program that allows homeless people to use their ebt at restaurants that will accept it.
Everything is 100x harder with ADHD in terms of sticking to a schedule and getting things done. You don’t realize how great it is to be able to leave your toothbrush on a bathroom counter or hang an outfit for the next day on your door until you don’t have those options anymore. I miss having a desk the most
I was able to continue my healthcare plan due to loopholes with my transition from employer’s hmo to state health insurance. This was a MAJOR privilege for me. The hospitals that accept the state insurance are often slow with really subpar care. Broken bones not treated correctly etc.
I paid into voluntary disability insurance while working. It was $14/month and is literally saving my life right now. When it lapsed, i could hardly afford food or gas money. I literally had to wash up in my car one morning because I couldn’t afford Planet Fitness and showers were all booked throughout the day at the homeless resource center I usually went to.
Forgot to add: get SNAP/EBT/food stamps IMMEDIATELY because it opens SO many doors. My community college classes are free because of SNAP. Also:
Free unlimited monthly cellphone service with data (i use the hotspot to do homework)
Access to college resources like the basic needs center
Free entry to local gardens and museums for two adults when i show my ebt card
Discounted Amazon Prime with ability to use ebt to buy eligible foods on there (this has been so helpful for me when I’ve been sick as they deliver to the shelter too)
Medical meals covered through state insurance+snap for me
I’m sure there are many things I’m forgetting. Basically any org that wants to help people will ask if you get SNAP/EBT/food stamps and they an get more funding for helping you.
Hey so you know how people always talk about transmasc erasure? Coming across that paper on Tumblr discourse on transandrophobia reminded me of something.
When I was doing my criminology degree, I went to several professors with several thesis ideas, and all of them were denied. These were all ideas based on transmasculine crime and victimology stats. Every professor shot down every thesis I had on ideas related to transmasc victims of various crimes.
Their reasoning? There's no need for this. This is useless. Nobody is interested in reading about trans men and transmascs being victims of crimes. They wouldn't even let me do my thesis on estimating more accurate stats on transmasculine victims of homicide. Which is an INCREDIBLY important thing!
So yeah. Next time someone talks about how trans men and transmascs aren't victims as much, remember this. Researchers don't want to research this. They won't allow people who want to do so, to do so. I couldn't get anyone to advise me on these papers.
I know I said that I’ll show some Mouseverse oc’s, but first, I want to show this unfinished essay I made. It’s about Disney Adults and bigotry (tw: fatphobia, ableism, poverty).
I’m not going to finish it, but I will show what I already have. So, if it reads weird in some places that’s why, anyway here it is:
Disney Adults: Fat, Obsessed, and Broke (or are they?)
If you’re a Disney fan, watch Disney content, or just commentary content in general, you’ve probably heard of Disney Adults. Disney Adults are typically portrayed as adults who are obsessed with all things Disney, to a humiliating degree. Now, you probably feel like the title is pretty harsh, but do you disagree? Or do know someone who would? Disney Adults are the internet’s favorite punching bag, they’re easy to mock and get easy engagement; an audience that is ready and willing to gawk at their fat, obsessive, broke selves. Admittedly, I used to watch this content, I thought of it as an easy-to-consume reaction video that I watch while eating. Until, I had an epiphany….
I don’t remember the YouTuber but I remember the TikTok, it was a pretty popular one people used when making fun of Disney adults; it was the Winnie the Poo girl.
(Clip of the TikTok)
I don’t know if the woman was autistic (and I’m not going to assume), but the way she flapped her hands and something about her love for Poo Bear made me think:
“You know, this woman might be autistic and has a hyperfixation.
Wait-
Is making fun of Disney Adults ableist?”
Yeah, Making Fun of Disney Adults is kinda Ableist
A big thing Disney Adults are mocked for is their love for fictional characters, especially the mascots. There are plenty of videos of people commentating and parodying Disney Adults for crying when they meet their favorite characters.
(Show thumbnail)
But why? What is so funny or strange about adults liking fictional characters? Well, I guess the answer is pretty obvious. It’s highly frowned upon for adults to be into children’s media, of course it’s gotten better over the years, but there’s still some tension. You see, even though there’s some niche online spaces for people to nerd out about their favorite things, adults doing childish hobbies still gets some pushback from the general public or “the normies”. That’s why you can’t just tell your coworkers about a thing you like the same way you can on an online forum.
That’s why commentary YouTubers who talk about Disney Adults don’t really have strong interests themselves, or openly identify as autistic (at least as far as I can tell). They don’t know what it’s like to have hyperfixations or have heightened senses that would make someone cry more. And the fact that these creators don’t even consider autism being a reason for this behavior, can lead to the normalization of bullying autistic traits in adults, because you’ll always compare them to the one’s of Disney adults and just think that they’re freaks and weirdos.
Look, I know not every Disney Adult is autistic, but that doesn’t mean none of them are. And I think it can be really harmful to assume the former, since there’s already an uncomfortable rise of things like the r-slur and those Ableist trends that happened as few years ago (ie. “Are you acoustic?”). I don’t think it’s crazy for me to think that this can lead to further ableism on the internet.
Unfortunately, Disney Adult commentary doesn’t just stop at ableism, it also crosses the boundary of fatphobia.
The Fatphobia is STRONG with this one
Another thing Disney Adults are made fun of for is their weight, so much so that it’s a defining physical characteristic of Disney Adults.
(Show thumbnails)
I think it’s pretty obvious why this is bad, people shouldn’t be ridiculed on the internet for their weight, it’s an obvious act of fatphobia. It’s also clearly used to show the “consumeristic greed” of Disney Adults, like their physical gluttony represents their savage love for Disney. Which is obviously insane and hateful, people aren’t “bad” or “obsessive” just because of their weight and it’s ridiculous to think so.
Since this part is pretty obvious, I’ll move on to my next point: Disney debt.
Exploiting the Debt of Disney Adults for Views: AKA One Reason Why We are Never Gaining Class Solidarity
Financial bros or people who are nosy about other’s finances, like to ogle at the mountains of debt that Disney Adults get into when going to Disney.
(Show examples)
It’s no secret that Disney World is expensive, but for some reason, we need to be reminded through other people’s financial humiliation? Well, I guess it isn’t for “some reason”, the reason is that it makes the audience feel better about themselves.
Think about, what are you learning about finances watching some family in Florida spend thousands of dollars on Disney? Nothing, all you feel is a superiority complex knowing that you’re not like those “crazy Disney Adults”, regardless of how bad your financial circumstances.
I call this an act of classism because it discourages the act of class solidarity, because it makes people in the same class look down on each other. This way of thinking accomplishes nothing and further distracts us from the source of our economic condition. So we can feel better than a family that’s trying to have a good vacation that’s being exploited by corporate monopoly.
And that leaves me to my real question, despite all this, why do we still make fun of Disney Adults?
We Hate Autistic Fat people (in a woke way of course)
Disney is a horrible company, they have done material harm to others, people have accused them of ruining their favorite franchises, and they have bought out so many other media companies that they’re inescapable. A lot of people aren’t fond of Disney, so when they see Disney adults, they have this immediate negative reaction.
And to an extent they’re right, blindly supporting a company just because you grew up with their IP is not good, and should be criticized.
This is where it ends.
wow! this is a completely normal and not at all strange or bigoted thing to post! i sure wonder how this train of thought affects people of color! or anyone who isn't conventionally attractive! or fat people! or-

waoh stop spinning you're too fasts for me, and i'm a finch.
and im a finch
im striped
me gritting my teeth: You get to be ugly, you deserve to be ugly, it shouldn't matter when cis/thin people find you unattractive because you deserve to be treated like a person regardless.
"this is a transphobic caricature" and it's just a character that isn't stick thin
"this is a transphobic caricature" and it's just a character that isn't a hairless baby
"this is a transphobic caricature" and it's just an alt dressing transmasc
"this is a transphobic caricature" and it's just a transfem's self insert that didn't shave this morning before leaving the house
"this is a transphobic caricature" and it's just the concept of HRT working differently for different people
"this is a transphobic caricature" and it's a nonbinary person daring to prefer combining traits over removing all of them
"this is a transphobic caricature" and it's just an intersex person drawing their actual fucking body
"this is a transphobic caricature" but the post is somehow almost always made by intermisogynistic fatphobic losers who can't fathom the idea of other people trying to like the way their bodies look just enough for long enough to not become so self loathing and miserable that they fucking off themselves
I think one if the reasons wesker as climbed to the top of my list tied with leon is because the idea of wesker likes YOU is such a boost of confidence.
Growing and still now yk my self esteem is SOOOO low, i always left so insignificant so when a man who sees himself as god thinks I AM worthy of his love it is empowering. Being worshipped and loved by a man LIKE wesker feels like you are as important as him. Im like the only one in my friend group who loves wesker and they all see him as a villain and im like “YES.. he is 1000000% an evil man who did numbers of bad stuff..” but the appeal of getting THAT mans approval… good golly..
ESPECIALLY when hes written with plus sized ladies, i couldn’t feel more better in my body. I love wesker and everyone knows it 🤷🏻♀️
PRECISELY!
My type has always been villains and morally grey characters. It makes me such a pick me but I loooove the idea of being the poor little meow meow exception for the guy who doesn't give a shit about anyone or actively hates the world. I wanna be special and his no1 priority and the one he'll raze everything to the ground for 🥰 where's that post that said "the hero will sacrifice you to save the world. The villain will sacrifice the world to save you"? Like THAT is what i want and I refuse to feel ashamed. I DO wanna be the Mary Sue in this story, what of it?
Ik it's not healthy to get validation from other people and use that as a substitute for your self esteem, but I've been fat my whole life. I don't remember what it was like to not feel bad about what I look like. Even now when ive come to accept myself and feel more or less neutrally about my body (i cant ever love myself, but at least I stopped hating myself so there's that) I still don't feel confident and comfortable around others all the time. I don't know what having proper self esteem looks like, so getting validation from others is the only way for me to possess any sort of self esteem lmao. 3 days ago I saw two teenagers laughing to themselves and looking in my direction and im still convinced they were laughing at me even tho they probably weren't. Like im always so fucking aware of how I look and that it is NOT good. Not desirable. And it's not me feeling sorry for myself (though internally it kind of is), it's just a fact. Im 25 and I haven't kissed someone properly, haven't been on a date, haven't held hands or had sex. No one has ever confessed their feelings for me or admitted to finding me attractive (unless it was weirdos on dating sites who only see me as a fetish and wouldn't actually want to be seen out in public with me).
I've missed out on so many 'core' experiences like stupid 'relationships' in middle school that lasted 2 weeks, and messy relationships in high school that ended in tears. I will never know what it's like to awkwardly fumble around with a peer who's just as clueless as you when you're figuring out how to kiss or have sex. I'll always be behind all my friends who are in happy, committed relationships, who are married, who have kids already, while I'm still waiting for my first date at 25.
So obviously the guy who hates humanity and thinks himself so superior he calls himself a god is going to steal my heart and make me fall in love, duh?? If HE likes me, if HE loves me, if HE gets turned on by the way i look, then that must mean I'm lovable and desirable after all.
Anyway, idk where the fuck I was going w this 😭 just trauma dumping atp lmao but I agree with you 🫶
This perfectly describes my feelings towards Bill Cipher (not fat but all the other stuff applies to me)

Does that trans man actually "want to be seen as a woman" or is he so afraid of being assaulted in men's spaces if he is outed that he will use women's spaces?
Does that trans man actually "want to be seen as a woman" or is he asking you not to erase his lived experience?
Does that trans man actually "want to be seen as a woman" or has he been scared by all the posts mocking male transition results into thinking he'll be a laughingstock if he starts balding?
Does that trans man actually "want to be seen as a woman" or has he seen masculine people be treated as inherently predatory so often that he holds this back to be seen as a person?
Does that trans man actually "want to be seen as a woman" or is he trying to avoid being treated the way you treat masculine people?
Does that trans man actually "want to be seen as a woman" or is his childhood still influencing how he conducts himself?
Does that trans man actually "want to be seen as a woman" or is he speaking about misogyny he has experienced?
I am fucking BEGGING transmascs (and everyone else) to not let the animosity of a VERY SMALL GROUP of very online transfems impact how you interact with transfems or think about transfems.
please, please, please remember that this "hating transmascs" and "kill all TMEs" bullshit is just a few edgy weirdos on the internet who enjoy saying inflammatory things for shock value.
transfems are not your enemy, and YES, you do actually need to unlearn transmisogyny. Not because you're transmasc, but because we live in a transmisogynistic society.
transfems are not a hivemind, there's no broader transfem consensus that transmascs are Evil Privileged Abusers, but the small group of people who think that way WANT you to believe that they are representative of trans women everywhere. they're super not. they really are just a handful of angsty people online looking for someone to pick on.
all trans people have more commonalities than differences. there aren't two distinct species of trans people from two different planets, there are just trans people with a wide diversity of experiences and walks of life. we are all affected by the same systems of oppression.
find community and mutual support with transfems. build solidarity and have conversations about how we can help each other. the only way we all get through this shit is together.
