“I don’t know,” y/n answered in thin voice. She too had many questions. About this world; all stories are real, she remembered. But how? It was all strange. Exciting. Scary. But it felt right, it felt home.

39 “Would you do something for me?” “For you anything.” “Great, would you go to the store and get me ice-cream?”

40 “this is not a date. It is two people meeting after they haven’t seen each other for a while.” “So, it’s a date.”

‘Where are you going?’ asked Elena while walking into Y/N’s room and seeing her getting ready.

‘I am going to see a guy.’ Y/n answered not looking away from a large mirror as she was putting on her favourite lipstick.

Elena raised her eyebrows and crossed her arms, ‘do I know him?’ She suspected who it might be, but she wanted to hear it.  

Of course, she knew him, everyone knew him, Y/n thought. She turned around to face Elena while nibbling on her bottom lip.

The girl let out a sight before saying, ‘not him. Not again.’ She pursed her lips, awaiting the confirmation. But Y/n didn’t know what to say, what to feel. Should she tell her friend where and with who she was meeting, or should she tell her that it is her life and, she will do whatever she wants to? And she will meet whoever she wants to. ‘Why Y/n do you always have to give into his manipulation? He disappeared for over five years.’

‘I know but –‘

‘No, you clearly don’t. You know what if you want to go back to dating him then be my guest, but don’t come back to cry on my shoulder.’ Elena turned around and started for the door.

When Y/N was left alone, quiet tears escaped her eyes. She looked in the mirror, ‘stop crying, you idiot, you can do whatever the fuck you want, and no one will rule you around.’ With that, she fixed her make-up, put on a jacket and left her room.

  She sat at the bar and ordered some whiskey.

‘You are too pretty to sit here alone.’ Said a quite drunk and scruffy guy, settling on the bar stool right next to her. She could smell his alcohol and cigarette breath.

‘I am not alone actually,’ she stared into the glass and considered if she should empty it quickly and get another one.

The man looped his arm around her waist, ‘you couldn’t be more right’, his words stung her neck.  Her body tensed and she couldn’t find it in her to move away when it was the most reasonable thing to do.

‘I believe she meant me, mate, now get your hand off my lady, or I will break it.’ The man immediately unwrapped his arm and left her. She didn’t make a move, but her heart now raced in a tight cage. ‘You shouldn’t let them speak to you like this, love.’ Klaus took the other man’s seat. She could feel his eyes on her which didn’t help her racing heart.

She lifted the glass and tilted it with trembling hand and gulped the content of it. She then looked at him turning her body slightly, so it faced him, her head rested on her knuckles, and her bare elbow rested on the cold bar table. ‘Why do you care? You left me.’

His gaze lowered, ‘I had no choice. But I want to make it right.’ His glittery eyes found hers again, and his hand travelled to her left hand which rested on her lap on which laid her jacket.  

It reminded her of the times when they dated, and so she automatically moved it away as if it burned her. ‘Don’t’, she whispered, knowing he would hear it, with that he took his hand.

‘I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have, perhaps I should go.’ Klaus started to get off his seat.

‘I don’t want you to go. I just, just don’t understand,’ their eyes met again. ‘Why did you leave?’

Klaus sighted and sat down … ‘Now you know my family, and I were trapped.’

‘I am so sorry. I – I didn’t know.’ Y/n rested her hand on Klaus’s, and he held it tight as if he never wanted to let go of her. Their bodies leaning closer, their lips pursing and eyes closing.

Someone cleared their throat behind them. Both of them untangled, and y/n felt the heat rising to her cheeks, Klaus’s eyes boiled with fire like from hell.

‘What the hell are you doing, here with him?’ Damon pointed at Klaus and reached for Y/n hand to lead her out of the bar.

‘Damon let go of me.’ She shrugged her hand away.

‘Mate, to me it seems like she doesn’t want to go with you.’ Klaus stood defensively in front of her. The two vampires resembled two lions fighting over territory.

‘Enough. The both of you.’

‘Y/n I don’t want to you hurting again.’ Damon look deeply into her eyes, ‘you are my little sister, and I just want to protect you.’

‘We were just talking.’

‘It didn’t look like it.’

Klaus cleared his throat, ‘sorry love, but I’m afraid we will need to carry on with our little meeting at a different time.’ Then he just walked away.

 Back in her room Y/n laid in her bed scrolling through her phone.

Gentle knocking on the door got her out of the virtual world, ‘go away, Damon!’

The door opened, ‘it’s not Damon. Can I come in?’ Stefan’s head peered through the open space between the door and door frame.

‘I don’t want to talk about it.’

‘Fine we don’t have to,’ he walked in and sat on the edge of her bed. ‘However. I would like us to,’ he smiled encouragingly.

‘There is nothing to talk about, we – Klaus and I – just met to talk and then Damon appeared and now I’m here.’ Hints of anger in her tone.

‘Do you love him?’ he asked with plain voice, there was nothing, no anger or happiness not the slightest emotion.

Y/n’s eyes widened, and she stared at him for a brief while before answering, ‘I – I don’t know. I think so.’

‘I need to know, really what do you feel for him?’

She scratched nail polish of off her fingernails, ‘I was angry at him, but I love him.’ Stefan’s warm hand landed on her leg, and she looked at him, he was smiling brightly.

‘I don’t know what he did to deserve you, but he is waiting downstairs.’

Y/n threw herself onto her brother, she hugged him tightly and whispered into his ear, ‘thank you.’ She moved away and begun to get off the bed.

‘But just so you know if he hurts you again I will kill him or at least I will die trying.’ Y/n looked at him with loving but playful eyes.

She rushed downstairs and saw Klaus standing on the bottom. He reached out his hand, ‘shall we.’

Smiling brightly like the sun, she gave him her hand, ‘where are we going?’

‘It is a surprise.’

  ‘Lakehouse? Really?’

‘Don’t be disappointed, love.’

‘I am not disappointed. I’m surprised. ‘

They had a romantic dinner with wine-blood mixed drinks. They talked about the past and their present lives, but neither of them wanted to mention the future. Did they even have a future? Klaus had a child and family. And Y/n, well she had plans of her own, she wanted to finish Uni with Elena, Caroline and Bonnie, adopt a baby and start a family of her own.

‘Is something wrong, love’ Klaus asked with a saddened gaze. He couldn’t help but think he had done something wrong. Again. Usually, he didn’t care about other’s feeling, he was ready to kill the mother of his child if only she tried to trick him and run with the child. So, now when Y/N’ s mood changed from tears of happiness to sad dog’s eyes, he couldn’t help but blame himself.

Picking her cuticles, ‘it’s nothing, just, this – this whole get together thing we are doing.’ She looked stared at him bluntly, ‘what do you want Klaus?’

For a minute he didn’t know what to say, he just stared back at her. ‘I wanted to pick things up where we left off. I promised you a date,-‘

‘This is not a date. This just two people meeting after they haven’t seen each other for a while.’

‘So, it’s a date,’ Klaus attempted to relax the atmosphere.

‘No, lovers go on dates, people who don’t have a history together go on dates. And we – you have a child and family, and I have my plans.’ A single tear left her an eye. ‘I waited for you for so long, - ‘

He moved closer to her, and she leaned into his embrace. The hybrid let her cry quietly, while he gently ran his hand through her hair. He kissed the top of her head and whispered ‘I would do anything you.’

‘Would you go to the store and get me ice-cream,’ she lifted her tears stained face that was yet again smiling. Or at least she tried to seem happy because she knew he will be blaming himself for her tears.

He began to move away and get up.

‘Where are you going?’

‘I said I would do anything for you, and I’m a man of my word.’

‘No, that’s Elijah,’ Y/N teased. ‘I was just kidding, sit down.’

‘I wasn’t. I’ll be back soon.’ He started for the front door.’

‘Wait I am coming with you.’ She ran to him and entwined their hands, ‘I lost you five years ago. I don’t want to lose you again.’

‘He’s bluffing. Hope is with Hayley.’ Said Rebekah, dark veins forming underneath her eyes.

‘Oh, I’m not talking about Hope, I would never hurt a child. I am not a monster,’ he smirked, ‘an eighteen-year-old, well, that’s a different kind of story.’

Klaus and Elijah exchanged looks. Then Elijah asked, ‘how do we know it is not a trick?’

The high pitched sound rang in Y/n’s ears. Her head hurt as if someone tightened a rope around it and pulled it tight. Her eyes were squeezed shut, trying to contain the pain. Her hands were free of the two men holding them. Her breath heavy but fast, it did not fill her lungs. Her legs felt as if she was just left the gym after a heavy workout.

When her eyes flew open. The world spun, and she fell into Elijah standing before her. Then her balance returned, and the numbness in her legs was gone, all of the pain was gone as if it never happened.

‘What the bloody hell is going on!’ A woman's voice sounded, and then a blonde girl walked in, followed by a guy with dark blonde hair.

The guy came over to Kol and pat his back, ‘ well-done brother. For once you prove yourself useful.’ He turned to Y/n, ‘I hope you will make yourself home here,’ he smirked.

Y/n’s eyes widened,’ what do you mean?’ she began to back out, ‘ I am not staying here.’

‘Niklaus, be nice, she is our guest,’ said Elijah

She walked into the blonde girl. She turned around automatically throwing her hands in the air, ‘I’m sorry.’ She regretted it immediately.

The blonde girl grabbed her wrists and examined her palms, which had little pieces of glass stuck in them preventing the blood from escaping the wounds.

Y/n shrug uncomfortable form all the attention, she was used to being less noticeable, especially after her mothers’ death. She took her hands away, it wasn’t difficult because the blonde held her loosely. ‘It’s nothing I will be fine.’ She said in half whisper, more to herself than to the others.

‘You should sit down,’ said Elijah motioning towards the couch. She did as she was told and he sat beside her taking his handkerchief out, he grabbed her hands, ‘it might hurt a little’. With surgical precision, he took out the glass, and small dots of blood began to appear on the palms of her hands.

It didn’t hurt her, in fact, she felt relief as if he realised an enormous tension forming in her hands, that started to spread in her body.

Elijah grabbed a tissue that Rebekah brought earlier and her whipped the blood from her palms, looking deeply into her eyes.

Klaus cleared his throat, ‘now is not the time Elijah.’

‘i did not know what you are suggesting brother. If she is to help us, she needs to be well.’

‘Speaking of her well being I think the girls needs a rest,’ said – till now quiet  – Kol.

Klaus considered the girl.’now we have -,’

Rebekah interrupted him, ‘He’s right Nik,’

They took her into a room downstairs, there were no windows, and they locked the door. The only source of light came through the barred window in the door. The bed was uncomfortable with a thin mattress.

She examined the room for any potential weapon; she found nothing. ‘Think, Y/n, you need to get out of here, find Lily and Alex and then come up with a plan.’She whispered to herself as small teras begun fall down her cheeks, ‘Mum, what am I supposed to do?’

She heard her mothers voice in her head, ‘you are stronger then you think, you just need to believe.’

Y/n took a deep breath, a one that could almost choke you and then she remembered what she did earlier; how the candle lit up.

She walked to the door and placed her hands on it; she imagined it open. It took a while but it worked, she heard the lock give in. She pulled the door open and stick out her head then the rest of her body.

She walked up to the stairs and heard voices, ‘Nik, we can keep her there, if we want her to help us.’ said a female voice.

Y/n hid behind a refrigerator  

‘O, she will help us, unless she doesn’t want to see her sister again.’

‘Nik, you will not hurt a child, who is not younger than your own.’

Y/n heard the two people nearing so pressed her palm to her mouth to prevent any sound coming out. The brother and sister walked in quiet the rest of the way until they stood in the front of the open door.

‘Where the hell is she?!’

She couldn’t see him but by the tone f his voice she knew he was furious, and against commons sense, she got out the hiding and ran. Ran as fast she could, the survival instinct took over.

Out of nowhere Klaus appeared and pinned her to the wall. She shrugs for a brief second, but then she squeezed her throat more. Her eyes travelled to the back of her head.

‘Nik, you’re going to kill her!’ Screamed Rebekah  

At that moment he let her fall to the floor, she inhaled hungrily, her eyes fall shut, and when she opened them again, it wasn’t her anymore.

Her natural y/e/c eyes turned into ones that resembled diamonds, and now she wanted revenge. She wanted Klaus to pay. She stared through his eyes, onto his soul; pain is what she imagined, and it’s precisely what he felt.

Klaus screamed, think dark lines forming under his eyes, then all over his body that started to turn grey; she was ready to crush his heart.

‘Daddy!’ cries of a little girl spun y/n out of focus, her eyes came to normal, and she sighted not believing what she just did.  

‘I – I..’ she looked around the room full of people: Elijah, Kol, Rebekah, another blond girl, a brunette and a child, they all stared at her. A tear escaped her eye, mechanically she wiped it, her gaze turned to look at her hand, which had traces of blood coming from the little wounds.

Elijah vap-speed to her and grabbed her hands, and with that, her tears were falling like a small waterfall. ‘Freya,’ he said not turning away from the girl standing before him.

The girl walked to them and took y/n’s hands in hers; she chanted in Latin. She stopped chanting and turned to look at Elijah who's face was calm, but his eyes betrayed the worry he felt. ‘Someone is channelling her,’

Y/n’s body felt cold and numb, she looked down at her hands, and then she felt the room turn, and once again fell to the floor.

 She was in her bed, ‘good it was just a nightmare,’ she thought. Then she felt pounding in her head and a stung in the palms of her hands. Cautiously she began to open her eyes. She was laying in a bed, but it wasn’t her room.

She lifted herself on the elbows and saw Elijah read an old looking book in the corner by the window. Suddenly she felt uncomfortable in this comfortable bed.

He heard her move and looked at her with a small smile, then he put the book down on a coffee table and made his way towards her.

‘I am sorry for what I did to your brother.’ She said with weak voice.

He examined her, and his brows frowned, ‘You do not need to apologise, Niklaus can be ... well,’ he sighed, ‘him.’ He sat next to her on the enormous bed, ‘tell me do you remember anything that happened?’

Y/N leaned back on the pillow, ‘Your brother tried to chock me, then you and your siblings came, and he let me go and then I -- fainted.’

‘Is that all? Do you remember when it happened?’

She looked at him confused, ‘What do you mean?’

‘Y/N, you attacked Niklaus and then you fainted and remained like this for almost three weeks. I – we thought you were never going to wake up. Freya tried to use a spell, but nothing worked.’

She sat up nervously, ‘Lilly. I have to go.’ She looked at Elijah, ‘I have to find her. I promised.’

She was nearly at the edge of the bed when he grabbed her hand. Their eyes met, and he took his hand away as if her touch burned him.    

She wore her original clothes, good at least no one saw her naked or anything. Y/n was about to open the door of the room that she slept in, ‘ wait.’ She turned around, and Elijah stood right in front of her, ‘I will come with you.’ She wanted to object, but he stopped her, ‘it is the least I that can do.’

‘Fine.’

They left the room and walked down the stairs it what looked like an empty courtyard.

‘Elijah.’ Klauses’ voice sounded behind them.

‘Not now, Niklaus.’ They carried on walking towards the gate.

With speed of the wind, Klaus stood in front of them, a smirk painted on his face ‘wanting to impress a girl, brother? I am sorry, but you will not be taking this one anywhere.’

‘Niklaus, get out of my way.’ Elijah sounded angry but his face stone.

‘Or what? Remember brother, I have a thirsty dagger and a lonely coffin, both waiting for you.’

‘Klaus, let em’ go.’ Kol said in the distance.

‘I have the same company for you as well Kol.’

‘Not anymore.’

‘Rebekah,  what did you do this time.’

‘Nothing. Yet. Now be a good and caring brother and let them go.’

‘You better bring her back.’ Said Klaus threating Elijah.

Author’s note: I hope you enjoy! This part is the kick starter of the relationship between the reader and Mikealsons. Long awaited I know. This part sparkled a new flame in me to write this series. As always, your feedback is more than welcome. Requests are still open, don’t hesitate to send some in.

  Remembering her mother’s words Y/n didn’t touch the grimoires, dairies or anything for that matter. Especially because when she lightly touched the opened book, the pain was unbearable.

On the table where the book laid, she found a pair of worn-brown glows. She took them and felt that she needed to put them on, and so she did.

She walked around the table and stopped immediately when her eyes meet the familiar handwriting, her mothers. She read the strange text in half whisper. As she did all hairs rose, and coldness hugged her body.  

“What’s revealed to destined eyes Is disguised for the others’ I ask you mother night to hide this house. Only when the time comes And the destined had arrived May you reveal the hidden for all eyes.”

 When the last word escaped her mouth, her vision clouded and body refused to stand.

Elijah and Kol 

“It is probably nothing to worry about.” Kol tried to ignore the noise of a broken branch. After all, they were in the woods. 

“Nevertheless, I think we should check what it was. We are surely not the only ones looking for the girl.” Elijah pointed out the obvious. Unlike his brother, he experienced the power this girl possessed and the rage, of who he thought was her father, when she disappeared.

“Perhaps we are not the only ones looking for her and someone is stupid enough to spy on us,” Kol spoked confident of his original vampire strength. No one would dare to get in the way of two originals, “or perhaps it was just an animal. If you are so worried, maybe you should seek to it, while I get the girl.” He said sarcastically and rolled his eyes. Elijah's eyes widened. “What, now?” annoyance displayed in Kol’s eyes and tone.    

“There is a wolf behind you, brother.” Stated Elijah.  

Kol turned around. The wolf lowered its body like it was ready to attack, but it didn’t, it pushed away and runoff.

“This cannot be a coincidence. We should hurry.” Elijah’s voice a mixture of confidence, calmness and worry. One wolf, it could mean that there is more. And he was well aware that the girl will not come willingly, it’s been a few days, who knows how much she learned.

“Elijah, Is this the same house?” Kol was puzzled, he could swear that this house looked like from a horror movie, and not like a regular family house.

“It most certainly does not look like.” The other vampire stated. So, she must have learned something. Thankfully for them not a lot if she took down the disguise spell. 

The two brothers made their way to the house that no longer resembled the old ruin it once was. Elijah pushed the door open. Both brothers were overwhelmed by the sweet fruity scent, to the point that it made difficult for them to breath. They looked around the house and followed the scent. 

They walked towards stairs that led to the attic, slowly they made their way up. Reaching the top, they saw a room filled with artefacts from different time eras. Surely collected for centuries. Then finally their gaze landed on the unconscious girl.  

“At least we don’t have to deal with her.” Kol pointed at the girl.

“I agree. However, brother, we need her and the books.” His voice a bit rough. He considered the girl she looked, peaceful. Definitely not like a powerful creature she was.

Reader  

 “Welcome my child.” Y/n heard the airy voice and opened her eyes.

She was in a room that was covered in white. Everything was white. White marble floor with gold and grey details. Walls were white with flags behind each white chair. And on the chairs sat women. Young women. All in dresses. There was eleven of them; all surprisingly similar, like sisters. The women in the middle sat on a throne-like chair. However, all chairs were different. Ones had rounded backs or square-ish. In one sat her mother, she wore a delicate white dress and behind her hung a cold white flag with the triquetra symbol embroidered in grey. On her head rested a crown with a symbol resembling the one behind her, in the middle of the crown was a rounded white moonstone, the symbol also decorated her heart chakra (middle above breasts). She looked at her mother, and she just smiled worming the atmosphere.

 “My name is Zariah, welcome to our home Y/N.” Y/N’s eyes rested on the women in the middle who spoke once again.

The woman wore a long black dress that covered her feet. The dress was plain apart for the diamond decoration, below her breasts. The neckline of the dress hung low revealing the pentagram fully on her heart chakra. The same symbol was displayed on the flag behind her, around the flag were little stones in colours of very pale blue, dark blue, yellow, green and red. The symbol was also on the crown she wore.

Y/N swallowed hard and asked the first question that came to her mind. “Where am I?” her eyes were wide and voice a little shy.

Zariah smiled at the girl. “You are in the in-between, but I am sure you have already been here, am I right?” The girl nodded. The women stood up and walked up to Y/N. She placed her right hand on Y/Ns’ heart chakra, on top of her hand she placed the other. She closed her eyes. Under her touch Y/N froze, she couldn’t move even if she wanted to do. “May the truth be revealed to you.” The women said, and Y/N felt overwhelming pain. She would scream in agony but the pain was too powerful, and she couldn’t breathe. Her body arched back and fingers gripping the air.

Elijah and Kol

Suddenly they saw the girls’ body arch, moth open but no sound coming out. Head pressing to the floor, her back high in the air, her legs shifting, and her glowed fingernails gripping the floor.

 Elijah and Kol watched the girl unable to move. Until the girls’ eyes flung open, they shined like diamonds.

Reader  

 The first thing she saw were two men standing behind her. Her body falls entirely onto the floor with uneven breath and pulsing pain in the chest. After a couple of seconds, she rolled to her side and stood up. Dizziness took over her head, and her hands fall heavily onto the table before her. She squeezed her eyes shut, and then opened them, they came back to normal and were now Y/E/C. She turned around to face the two men.

With a shaky voice, she asked. “Who are you?” Her gaze fixed on them.

One of the men wanted to say something, but the other in the suit interrupted him. “My name is Elijah Mikealson, and this is my brother Kol.” Elijah’s voice firm as he smiled at the girl.

“I think we met before.” Y/N said to Elijah. “What do you want with me?” She knew they needed something. For some reason, probably because of the women, but now she understood everything. She was a witch, a very powerful witch, her mission was to protect this place. At all cost. She had to learn a lot about her powers, but a least she knew who she was.

“We want your powers, sorry love, but you are coming with us.” Said the other men and started to walk towards her.

“I don’t like the way you speak to me, vampire.” She said coldly. She felt a shift in her body and a pulsing power. Her eyes diamond hard rested on the original.  

Kol screamed in pain revealing his thangs and veins under his eyes. She then looked at Elijah with a smirk. “I will not take orders from anyone. If you need my help, you will ask for it. Treat this as a lesson.” Her voice confident as ever. What got over her, she never acts this way. Her gaze lowered to the floor as she tried to make sense out of the whole situation. She brought her hands to her temples and massaged them and took a deep breath. Then her gaze returned to the two men, who looked confused. “I, I am sorry. You need to leave.” Her sight travelled from one brother to another.   

“I think it is better if you come with us, you are not safe up here.” Elijah walked to her. “If we found you, then your father is probably close.”

Not looking at him she hissed. “He is not my father.” 

“Listen, love, we – “ Kol was interrupted by howling of many wolves. “What the bloody hell was that?”

“They are here.” Elijah sated the obvious. “Listen,” he gripped the girls’ shoulders forcing her to look at him. “you have to come with us. Unless you don’t care about the little girl, believe me, I know men like this will stop at nothing to get what they desire.”

“I can’t go, I need to protect this place.” Tears run down her face. A soft, warm thumb whipped them off.

Spell. A thought appeared in her mind and immediately she knew what to do. She turned around walked up to a shelf with weird looking objects. She searched the cupboard and smiled to herself when she finally found tiny glass balls with fog trapped inside them. She took one. Then she walked to the other side, pushing past the brothers, who were observing her carefully. She grabbed a black candle and came back to her original place.

“Here hold this.” She passed the glass ball to Elijah. Then she kneeled down, took off the gloves, she’s been wearing and closed her eyes and visualised the candle flame when her diamond eyes opened she saw the flame. She placed the candle on the floor, her hands opened above the flame. “With the power of the moon, I command you protect this place. Deny entrance to uninvited souls.” She then stood up and took the ball from Elijah. She covered the ball with both of her hands. “Put your right hand below mine.” She ordered him, and he did as she said. “Now you put your right hand on top of mine.” She said to Kol, he also followed her instructions. “Now I need the two of you to visualise your home.” The two brothers nodded. Then she closed her eyes and saw a living room with a fireplace and couch, paintings on the wall. Then she pressed her hands together and smashed the glass ball between her hands.

A/n: Hi, guys. I hope you enjoy this one. I really like it and for the first time in a while, I am kind of scared to hear your feedback. Nevertheless, this one is one of my favourites so far. Feel free to send in requests. Here you can find the prompt list. Enjoy.

    My eyes closed, holding back the tears. As I sat, I opened them and stared at the reflection in the window. Could this, really be it? I guess it is. My thoughts wandering through the maze of the past.

"You can trust me. Really, love, look at me." The hybrid said with a sad voice. But my eyes unable to look up, unable to look at him. He is a monster. Killer. Animal. My lover. I struggled to comprehend what just happened ... A room, full of bloodless bodies. Creatures dirty with it, like monsters. All of them, covered in death. The memory, so clear in my head. And it will remain like this forever.

... “love am gonna be out for a while don't wait up.” Klaus leaned in to kiss me and then the doors closed. When he came back, he was ... he was not himself, he changed. I wondered what happened. It's all I did; wondered. I didn't ask, maybe be I should have. Would the future be different? One simple question: what happened? Would the truth be reviled to me or would it be kept hidden? I wonder it's all I can do. Lately, we've separated. We are no longer Y/N and Klaus we are Y/N ... and... Klaus. We are no longer one. We keep secrets. Him and I we both have things unrevealed to one another. And for what? It is not like we protect each other. We only distance ourselves.

I entered his workroom and saw him leaning on the floor. I didn't ask what he did. I knew he hid something. I backed away from the room. This is it. The secrets are too much.

I entered the dining room, and siblings muted all at once, gaze on me. I smiled, lips shaking. I wonder if anybody noticed. I sat down. “How was your day Y/N?” Elijah’s voice rang in my ears. My eyes fixed on the table as I considered every word in my head. Finally, I looked at him. “I spend the entire day in the studio with children, we laughed, a lot.” I smiled to myself as my gaze rested low, then came back up and rested on them. “Just like it happens when you find yourself amongst ten-year-olds.” A fake smile painted on my lips as I sat down. It seemed like the Michaelsons had nothing to say. The thread of conversation broke. Maybe for good.

Days followed nothing changed, secrets deepened. “Are you alright, you seem absent.” Klaus’s voice brought me back to the reality. “I suppose am fine.” I just said. No reason to lie nor to spill the truth. Nothing he says can repair things. He can't, we can't fix something that neither of us wants fixed. Upon hearing my comment, he left. Good at least I don't have to look at him. And he at me.

It's been days since I spoke to anybody in the compound. I am glad. I lived with them for a long time, and I know how easily they can get information out of a person, even someone who’ve been on vervain.  But I’m done with this, with them. No more lies, no more monsters and no more Michaelsons. I found my purpose. Now I need to take care of what is to come. Because she comes first. With them at my side we are both in danger, I know it. There are always people after them. After me, purely because of them. But my daughter will be spared. She will never find out who her father is nor she will find out her heritage. As I too will forget.

Swallowing hard, I closed my eyes. Am not scared. Am not scared. I repeated the mantra in my head. “Dear, are you sure you want to do this?” An old witch asked with worry. Am I? Am I ready to erase the past? No. Do I have to? Yes. I took a deep inhale. Back straight. “I don’t. But, I need to.” Lies are what brought me to this situation. Honesty is what will free me. The motherly smile on the woman's face, “Here,” she gave me a little flask. “this contains a sort of memory erase potion. It will erase your memory. But be absolutely sure.” She warned me. “This will clean your memory. All. Of. It. After you drink this, you will forget everything that happened for the past five years.” I swallowed a lump in my throat. My hands shaking as I take the flask. “Thank you.” My voice steady. I examined the bottle and put it into my bag.

I was back in the mansion, I took my personal belongings – things I brought from home. Should I call my parents and tell them am coming back? Should I drink it there or here on the spot? The memories flooded my mind and tears swallowed my eyes and covered my face, my throat closed, it hurt. Barely vocal noises escaped my locked mouth, as I cried. I took the bottle out. My eyes closed. Hand lifting the container, as the liquid was about to fill my mouth, the harsh wind pushed it away. My eyes flung open. I saw something I haven’t seen for many weeks now: worry, sadness, exhaustion in Klaus’s eyes. He pulled me into a tight embrace. My forehead pressed against his chest, we both fall to the floor. “Speak to me, please.” Concern, fear and tears strangling his never weak, but now weak face. “I beg you, love, tell me what is happening.” His body clings to my lifeless body, as his voice, broken in my ear. “I’ll never forget,”  I whispered more to myself than to him. A truth that remained unspoken. However, known to all. “I don’t know what to say.”  The thoughtful tone in his voice. “Nothing you say can change my decision,” I replied and carried on with a rough voice. “With this potion or not, I am leaving. I am done,” I declared and stood up. Don’t be an idiot you can’t be with him. I warned myself. “we can’t be together.” I turned to leave, but he caught my wrist. I turned around rapidly and gazed at him. Then ripping my hand away, I freed it. He breathed in through his nostrils. “What’s wrong? Tell me what did I do? How can I repair it?” He stared with fear, his posture hunched. “Not everything can be repaired,”  I answered motioning once more for the door. This time he didn’t stop me.

Mikealson’s mansion

Freya sat on the floor with a map in front of her. She used a spell to get the blood out of Elijah's’ sleeve. There wasn’t a lot of it. She begun to whisper the locator spell, she repeated it a couple of times, but nothing happened. In the room with her were her brothers, Klaus his patience was running thinner with every passing minute and Elijah who sat in an armchair, sipping a drink, drowning in thoughts. Freya stopped the spell and looked at Klaus with sorrow eyes. ‘I don’t understand, it should have worked.’ she said to him. ‘Maybe you should try harder.’ Klaus replied with rasping voice. ‘Nicklaus, it is not Freya’s fault.’ Elijah defended his sister. ‘I’ll try again.’ Said Freya and begun to recite the spell. After a minute or two, the spell changed, and both Klaus and Elijah looked at her. Her eyes were cloudy and tearing with blood, her nose bled as well. Her skin turned purple-grey, and it was cold to the touch. Elijah tried to shake her, he spoke to her to stop the spell, but nothing. She was in a trans. Physically she was there, but mentally she was elsewhere.

Freya - in-between

‘Where am I?’ she wondered. She saw a figure approaching her. It was a woman, she was wearing a delicate white dress, and her hair was let loose. Her skin was clear and pale her eye dark grey. ‘Who are you?’ Freya asked, and the women answered. ‘I am the mother of the girl you want to find, I am the protector of your desire, and I can be your ending.’ The woman’s voice was cold, and so was her presence, the cool air seemed to surround her, and now it was surrounding Freya too. Freya narrowed her eyes, lifted her chin and shot her magic at the women; she responded with a laugh and with one swift move of her hand Freya was on the ground. Her head pounding, nose bleeding and eyes watering, she felt cold, the coldness seemed to hug her body and cling to it. ‘Now this is only a beginning, a warning, leave my daughter alone. Don’t look for her. Because I’ll come for you, all of you.’ The women said harshly.

Mikelson's mansion

‘Freya, wake up’ Elijah demanded. Her eyes still open as she fall to the ground. Her eyes closed and seconds later she was fighting for air. She was shivering, Elijah lifted her up bridal style and set her near the fireplace. He and Klaus kneeled next to her. ‘What the bloody hell happened?’ Klaus asked angrily. ‘I met the girls’ mother.’ She said staring at the fire. ’How?’ Elijah quizzed ‘I don’t know, it was so strange, the place, I never saw anything like it ,or heard of it. It was empty.’ She said now looking at Elijah. ‘She said to stop our search, or she’ll come for us.’ The men looked at each other, and then at Freya. Her eyes were fixed on the flames, but her mind was still processing the event.

‘I found her.’ Kol walked into the room proudly. ‘What did you do, brother?’ Elijah interrogated. ‘I compelled a couple of Marcel’s guys to look for the lass, now I will need one of you,‘ He pointed at his brothers ‘to confirm my findings.’ he smirked. ‘I’ll go, you stay with Freya.’ Elijah announced. Klaus wanted to object but his brother already vamp sped to where the presumed girl was.

 Reader

“For God's sake why does it have to be an abandoned house in the woods” Y/N spoke to herself, frowning her brows. She heard a branch break somewhere in the woods and jumped. “Don’t be paranoid. It’s woods, there are freaking animals living here.” She continued the conversation. Her gaze met the house. It wasn’t quite what she expected. She expected a scene rather form a horror movie. But surprisingly she saw a cosy home. Not a spooky ruin she expected. “Down the rabbit hole I go.” She whispered sarcastically to herself.

She stepped onto the porch, and the world spun. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath to maintain her balance and to calm the world. Opening her eyes, she grabbed the doorknob and pushed it. She entered the house.

As the door opened, it revealed a homey like space. A/N’s breath rose forming a could above her head. She walked through a short corridor and found herself in the living room.

…”Y/N, darling stop running.” A greyed haired woman said to a five-year-old girl, but the girl didn’t listen she just hid behind an armchair with a playful grim filled with high-pitched laughter…

Y/N touched the armchair that filled her head. She brushed it with the tips of her finger, her gaze then rested on a photo that stood on a coffee table. She picked up and brushed the dust off. On it was her mother standing with the grey-haired woman. The photo must have been taken before the accident that killed her mother and grandmother. Tears filled her eyes, she just whipped them away and settled the photo back on its original place.

She walked to the stairs

…”Dear lord, sweetheart are you alright. Asked the mother of the little girl.” The girl nodded with tears. “What happened?” Concern pained on the woman’s face. And then joined a much older woman. “What’s happened?” She asked. “I, I was running after,“ The girls sobbed. “a fairy and I fell.” The girls face washed with tears. The two women looked at each other thinking the same thing. “Well, it is time for bed.” Said the younger women, she lifted the child and took her to the girls’ bed. Sleep well sweetheart.

Y/N was standing in the door to a bedroom of a little girl. She backed out of the room and look ahead on the closed door.

“Y/M/N we need to stop this before it’s too late.” Your grandmother said to your mother. “We already took her powers, I don’t think it is wise to take all of her ability,” said your mother. Your grandmother took the hand of her daughter on which rested the engagement ring that once belonged to her. “I will not take her ability, I will conceal it, and you will protect it until the time comes.” A smile of concern and encouragement covered the old woman's face. She whispered a spell. The two women walked up to a door at the end of a short hall. “One day it will all be revealed to her, but now she needs to be a child, as normal as a child can be.” Your grandmother opened the door and walked upstairs to the attic. There a study room of a witch was hidden. “Mum, what are you doing?” Your mother asked. Your grandmother just smiled and murmured a spell. When she was done, she looked exhausted. “Mum, what did you do?” The old witch looked at. “I linked the ring to this room if anything happened and you and I,” she said with pessimistic tone. “are not here to guide her, she will recover all of her memories, powers and abilities when she walks in here wearing the ring.” “But,” “No, honey, I know you will be here for her, but my darling daughter we can’t possibly see the future and this room contains many, objects that many people want.”

Y/N hesitated when her hand rested on the doorknob to the room at the end of the hall. She took a deep breath, closed her eyes and twisted the knob *click* then she opened her eyes and pulled the door. She stood before the open door. Her gaze travelled to her hand and to the ring she wore, then it turned to the stairs. Her eyes considered the stairs, they were quite long and twisted on the top, she could not see what exactly was at the end.

Right foot on the first stair, her hand on the railing, then left foot. She walked up to where the stairs ended, and a room was revealed to her eyes.

It reminded her of an antique store[MA2] . Clustered. Large table stretched through the room, it was covered item. She took a deep inhale then walked into the room. Walking up to the table she noticed that there were books opened. She lurked into one and noticed that she could not understand the language. Her gaze fixed on the book, lowering her hand slowly, her fingertips connected to the page, barely touching it. When her skin reached the paper, she felt stinging pain, shooting from above her breasts and up to her head. Her hands crashed into the table providing the only support. Breath shaking as she tried to push the pain away.

Kol and Elijah

“So, is it her?” Kol asked impatient, looking at the girl walking into the house that did not look particularly pleasant: blinded windows, dead garden, dull colours covered the house. “Perhaps.” Elijah provided a short but assertive answer. He didn’t quite remember how the girl looked like, he never paid attention to that, but her scent that’s a different story. “Enough for me.” Kol announced and moved forward. He was stopped by Elijah’s steady hand on his chest. “Patience, brother.” Elijah didn’t lose the sight of the girl until he heard something snap in near distance. Both brothers looked at each other, the same question on their minds: what was that?

Prompt: (Requested) 30 “the vow doesn’t mean anything to you.” 32 “You mean the world to me.”

A/N: I hope the story is up to your expectations. I have to admit I had no idea where to start. I hope you enjoy!  

“Where are you going?” Y/N rubbed her sleepy eyes, and as her vision become clear, she realised that her husband Klaus is getting dressed. “Go back to sleep, love.” He said as he was putting a leather jacket on. “I will be back soon.” He added and leaned in to kiss her. Then he left their bedroom.

Klaus and Y/N were living in the mansion with Klaus’s siblings, his one-night stand and his daughter; surrounded by enemies, constant threat and very little friends. And now that they were married, Y/N was in more danger than ever and since she didn’t want to go through the change yet, she was an easy target for Mikealson’s enemies. To protect their home and the most vulnerable members of the family – that being Y/N and Hope -  Y/N become the owner of the mansion and only invited could enter.

Y/N loved Klaus. She fall in love with him three years ago, when she came to New Orleans as a tourist after her parents died in the car accident – it is safe to say that winter roads plus New Year drunkenness equal drunk road pirates. – when they were coming home at night from their friends’ party. She was supposed to stay for a couple of days with her friends when she met Klaus and knew that he was the one she wants to be with. Since then they were like that; bonded by pure love. The day of their mirage was the happiest and saddest day of her life. She was filled with joy because she finally found her prince charming, but she was devastated because the two most important people in her life were no longer with her. Thanks to Klaus she had now a new family, a new life. They all accepted her as their own. She become best friends with everyone in the family. However, sometimes she wished it was only her and Klaus. The two of them with a family of their own. She never told anybody, especially the hybrid because she didn’t want them, him to think that she was selfish. So she kept it a secret. Weeks passed by and her sadness deepened, especially now that her king was never around, she falls asleep alone, and most of the time she woke up when Klaus was getting ready to leave. She missed him. His touch. His warmth. His essence.

Y/N sat on the couch in the living room, she was reading a book and sipping green tea from her favourite cup that she bought in Paris when she and her lover were on their honeymoon. Intensely focused on the love story, she was reading; imagining the prince in the book, that she didn’t realise that her own walked in.

Klaus was leaning against the doorframe. He observed his beautiful wife, and he couldn’t help but smile. She was his, and he would do anything for her. He still did not comprehend how she, pure as an angel could fall in love with a monster like himself. He let out a breath he did not realise he was holding and Y/N’s attention shifted from the book to him.

He walked up to her and sat beside her. Klaus extended one of his arms, and she came to his embrace. “How was your day, love?” He started the conversation. “You know the usual stuff.” She said. ‘Like what?” He questioned. “Well, I made myself breakfast, then I took a shower, cleaned a little, then I painted a little, okay more than a little, and now I am reading some book I found in the library.” She listed. “Seems like a busy day.” She nodded, and he added, “Wait a minute, did you only eat breakfast?” He looked at her with frowned brows and playfully angry eyes. “It is very possible.” Y/N answered. The hybrid rolled his eyes and took her hand motioning her to get up. “Come, I’ll make us something to eat.” She smiled and took his hand, getting up really fast. She lost her balance half collapsed into his arms. “Are you alright?” Klaus was worried. “It’s nothing.” She said taking his hand, walking to the kitchen.

Y/N sat on the countertop and Klaus prepared them dinner. The house was quiet. Rebekah and Freya went away for a shopping trip. Elijah took Hayley and Hope to spend some time together, and even Kol found himself somewhere else to be so the two of them could be alone for at last couple of days. After they had dinner, they sat on the couch in the same spot as before. They cling to one another telling the ridiculous stories from their past. It was so cute just the two of them. No one to interrupt. No worries. Just peacefulness. One thing led to another, and now in their bedroom, they were reliving their first honeymoon night.

The weekend was lovely, but like most things, it came to an end. The mansion was full once again.

                                                  Three Weeks Later

For some reason, you become angry. At everything and everyone.

“Urgh, where is it?” You searched angrily for your bracelet; the last gift from your parents. You crawled under the bed to search for it, but instead of finding the jewellery, you found a spider. And you being hysterically afraid of them you screamed, lifting your head instantly and you hit yourself, shouting ouch, and desperately getting out of there. “Y/N, is everything alright?” You recognised Elijah’s voice. You sat on the floor, your back resting against the wall. You breathed out loudly and tilted your head back to face the vampire. “Yes, I’m fine.” You lied, in reality, you were an emotional roller-coaster, in one moment you were happy and then seconds later you wanted to cry and the next you were angry. Truthfully you didn’t understand why. “It’s just-“ You continued “I lost my bracelet, and I wanted to look for it under the bed, and instead of finding it, I found a bloody spider.” You rolled your eyes. Elijah smiled amusedly. He lived for thousands of years, and there were not many things that could scare him, especially the most mundane things such as spiders. “I am sure you will find it.” He smiled kindly. “I hope so.” You said sadly, not looking at him. “I think I’ll go for a walk, to calm down a little.” You announced and got up getting your jacket which rested on the floor as you had a tendency to throw thing and clean them up later. “Would you like me to keep you company?” Elijah asked kindly. “No, I need some time to think.” You smiled in apology. “As you wish.” He said, and the both of you silently went down the stairs.

You left the mansion and was on your way to nowhere in particular when you hear. “And where do you think you’re going, love?” You rolled your eyes annoyed. Not turning around, you answered your husband. “For a walk. Alone.” Your annoyance clearly noticeable in your voice. “I am sorry, love, but it not safe for you to be out and about especially alone.” He replied calmly and added. “How about we go home now, and I promise that we will escape the town for a weekend. We can go anywhere you want. Deal?” You knew it was not an argument you could win. Because the truth to be told he would not let you go alone. And it would end up with you back in the mansion. However, stubbornness was something you got from your father, and so you decided to pursue your plan. You started to walk. With a speed of a wind, Klaus was standing right in front of you. You crossed your hands and squinted your eyes and pursed your lips. “You know it is dangerous, Y/N.” “It is always dangerous, now get out of my way Niklaus.” The moment he herd his full name leave your mouth he was confused, you only used his full name when you were angry with him. So, what did he do? He questioned in his thoughts. “What’s wrong? What did I do?” He asked, his voice filled with hurt. You took a deep breath and sighed. “I need to put everything together. I am scared, Klaus. Every time you leave, I’m scared that you will not return to me, to us.” Tears were fighting their way to escape, but you fought them back. “I am scared that the promise we made, that the vow doesn’t mean anything to you,” You couldn’t fight it any longer, and you let the tears loose. Klaus swallowed hard and stood there like a statue, while you continued to speak. “I understand you made a vow to your siblings and they made one to you. But I- I can’t, I’m lost, I don’t know what to do, now that I-“ He didn’t let you finish as he took you to his embrace and gently pressed his lips to yours. “You mean the world to me.” He said against your lips and then pressed them back to yours. “I am sorry if you felt abandoned by me. It will never happen again. I swear.” You smiled through your tears which were like a wild waterfall streaming down your face. He cupped your cheeks and softly whipped the tares off. “I need to tell you something.” You said to him. He looked deep into Y/E/C eyes. “What is it darling?” A cheerful smile appeared on your face. “You need to promise that you will stay calm.” You toyed with him. “I cannot make such promise, love. But I will try.” He said seriously but playfully, attempting to match your tone. You leaned in and whispered in his ear so nobody else could hear you. You wanted to share this moment with him and only him. Your warm breath made him shiver awaiting the news, and then you said sweetly “I am pregnant.”

Mikealson’s mansion

‘God, what happened to you?’ Kol joked. Klaus gave him a look that said, ‘to wipe that smile off his face or he will regret that he asked’. Elijah ignored him and sat on the couch. ‘Good, you are back, we are running out of time, do you have it?’ Freya sped into the room asking, before paying attention to her brothers who had blood all over their clothes. ‘No, Freya,-‘ Klaus was more angry with himself for failing to bring what they needed, but before he could say too much, he was cut off by Elijah. ‘We faced some complications. The books were not in the house, and the host turned out to be a werewolf,’ Elijah spoke calm, but the hints of anger were visible on his face. ‘and what we believe was the only person who could have any knowledge as to were the books may be hidden, has no idea who she is and she run off.-‘ Before he could finish he was interrupted by Kol’s clapping ‘Way to go, brothers, you are sent to bring the very thing that can save us, and you not only fail to do so, but you also manage to lose the person that can get it for us. Well done - *clap* - really *clap*’ Klaus breathed heavily staring at Kol ‘Don’t test my temper brother’ he hissed. ‘We will hunt her down.’ Kol smirked. ‘Ye, brother and how are you planning on doing that?’ ‘I have her blood on my sleeve’ answered Elijah ‘Will that be enough to track her down?’ He looked at Freya. ‘It will have to, but how can you be sure it is hers’?’ She questioned. ‘It has a specific scent.’ Elijah explained. ‘If that doesn't work, then- ‘Klaus smirked on his own thought ‘- we will hunt her like a huntsman hunts his pray.’

Your stepfather's place

He paced back and forth in his office, breathing loudly through his nose. He ran his hand through his hair and turned around to face a man that held your sister. ‘I told you to get her out of the town!’ He had a fire in his eyes. ‘Boss, I – ‘The man tried to explain himself, but he was cut off when your stepfather punched him in the face, he spit out a mouth full of blood. ‘I don’t want to hear this pathetic explanation’ The words escaped between his teeth. His back was turned to the man, he opened and closed his fists. You know, Roy,-‘ He spoke to the man still not facing him. He poured a glass of scotch and begun to walk towards the man sipping the drink. ‘I trusted you, I had faith in you, the others warned me you had a soft heart,’ his fist met the man’s face again, this time Roy grinned in pain. Rees breathed out loudly (aka your stepfather) and continued ‘, but I told them that they are wrong.’ Frustration swiped his face. ‘Tell me, how a man that can easily be mistaken for a mountain, is such a softie?’ He kneeled before Roy. ‘What should I do with you. How do I punish you? You lost something that was important, we waited so many years. You see-‘ Rees look to the side and then back to Roy. ‘she was going to lead me to a very powerful book, that my dear, selfish bitch of a wife and her mother alongside her other ancestors, hid away from me.’ Roy was petrified by Rees’s mad voice, he gulped. ‘I, I can make it right I can find her.’ Said Roy, your stepfather clapped his cheek. ‘I know you will’ he said standing up. ‘I give you twenty-four hours, to hunt this bitch and bring me the spell book, and mark my words I want Lilyan unharmed in my arms by midnight tomorrow, and Y/N you can kill her once the job is done, I don’t need her in the way.’ Leaving the room, he turned to Roy, to look at him for the last time with a satisfied smile. ‘Hunt her like the wolf hunts the sheep.’

You stopped in a motel, ten miles away from New Orleans. You couldn’t just go into the town in broad daylight when people were looking for you. You needed a place to think. After all, your ghost mother contacted you from another dimension, or rather you entered another dimension. You just found out that your stepfather is monster ironically quite literally and you needed to find some book, in some old house, oh you’re a witch. Could this world get any weirder?

You were pacing in the room while spiking to yourself. ‘What do I do, think Y/N, think.’ You were fidgeting with your hands; moving in frustration. ‘Think, how do I find this godforsaken house, if I don’t  even remember being there.’ You run both of our hands through your hair. You then sat on a chair, you pressed your back firmly against the seat, tilting your head and resting both of your arms on your eyes. Focus, Y/N. I wish I could speak with mum. But how? Think, how did you see her the first time?’ You shivered at that thought. ‘He knocked me out. So, what, do I beat the f out of myself?  You exclaimed frustrated. ‘Okay, the second time I was exhausted.’ You opened your eyes and narrowed your gaze at nothing in particular. ‘Oh, I’m such an idiot’ You said as you found a solution to your problem or at least one-third of your problem.

‘Alex this is the only way I can contact her.’ You were frustrated with him. ‘You have to be fucking kidding me. Y/N. I. Am. Not. Doing. This.’ He was even more frustrated then you were. ‘Alex-‘ He cut you off. ‘You fucking mad, I am not going to help you kill yourself!’ You couldn’t help but to laugh, you always burst into a laugh when his voice turned to that, that reminded you of a little girl. ‘- Alex, you will not kill me, not technically at least’ You tried to calm him down. ‘Enlighten me. What do you call drowning you in a bathtub? Hm.’ He placed his hand on his hip. ‘You will bring me back after a minute.’ ‘You speak of it as it was nothing, you know. Just a casual day, it’s noting. Just drowning my friend in a fucking bathtub. Oh, what could possibly go wrong?!’ His voice angry and sarcastic. ‘Alex,’ You said very calmly ‘- I can’t do it myself, please I need the answers.’ You looked at him with eyes of a begging puppy, it was a trick he could not resist. ‘You know I hate when you use that expression to manipulate me, but’ He took a deep breath ‘I will help you.’

All smiled up you walked to the bathroom, Alex right behind you not so excited. You actually didn’t know why you were so hyped, you were about to temporary kill yourself. “What could possibly go wrong?”

You were sitting in the bathtub full of water. ‘Alex, you’ll need to hold me under the water.’ You said to him yet again. ‘You don’t have to tell me Y/N I know what to do.’ You smiled at him wickedly. ‘How do you know?’ You tizzed him. ‘Y/N, we are not doing this’ He said seriously.

You took a deep breath, held your nose, shut your eyes and submerged in the water. You then felt Alex’s hands on your shoulders, holding you down as your body fought for the air.

It only lasted a couple of seconds.

In-between

You lifted yourself up gasping for the air. It worked, it really worked. You thought, looking around the familiar place. You stood up and started to walk around calling your mum. ‘Mum, where are you? We need to talk. Mum!’ Tears begin to form in your eyes. ‘I need you’ you whispered into the air, sitting down holding onto your knees.

You sensed her presence, and you immediately twisted around. ‘Mum’ You were relieved. ‘Y/N, what are you doing, you can’t be here if they find you’ Your mum was worried and clearly tensed. ‘Mum, who are you talking about?’ She frowned her brows, run her hands over your shoulders, to your hands. She looked at your hands, and a shy smile appeared, she rubbed her thumb on the ring you were wearing. Unable to look at you she said ‘I can’t believe you still have it, I thought he would take it from you.’ She finally looks at you with sorrow eyes. ’Mum, last time I was here you told me to go to the house but I can’t remember where it is and the spell books, they must be hidden, where do I look?’ You questioned, frustrated. ‘The books were hidden in such way that only you can find them and the house, don’t worry about it the minute you enter the city all that was lost will return, slowly.’ She smiled encouragingly, but you were too overwhelmed by the past events, and you couldn’t hold it any longer, and you just let go, letting the tears wash your face.

‘Hey,’ Your mum said quietly ‘everything is gonna be just fine, believe in you, like I do.’ You lifted your head to look into her eyes, and then you hugged her. It felt like she was taking all the worry away from you.

She pushed you at arm’s length, took a deep breath and said. ‘Now, you need to go back and don’t come back here. This is a dangerous place, if they catch you they will keep you here. Living should not enter this place. Do you understand?’ You nodded “yes” ‘You also need to know that many people will look for these spell book and diaries. They are powerful tools leading to important places, powerful objects and people. You can’t trust anyone.’ You nodded again. ‘One more thing you can’t take Lily with you.’ You looked at her surprised. ‘But-‘ She cut you off. ‘No, Y/N, I know this is difficult, but you will need to send her away with Alex.’ You were shocked, how did she know? But you didn’t ask because she would cut you off anyway. ‘I have been watching over you two, I know everything. I will protect Lily and Alex, but you will need to find the books yourself there is a lot of people after you. Dangerous people and they will not hesitate to hurt Alex or even Lily, just to get those books. You need to separate.’ Tears were strimming down your face once again. ‘Don’t worry honey it will only be a short while. You shrug, feeling a push on your chest. ‘It is Alex he is waking you up. Now, listen to me carefully.’ She gripped your shoulders forcing you to maintain eye contact. ‘The books are powerful, don’t touch them with your bare hands, because their power will be overwhelming. You need to learn and familiarise yourself with your magic. Here take this it will protect you.’ You felt another push.

You sat in the bathtub coughing and heavily breathing in and out. Once your breathing returned to normal, you looked down at your hand in which you were holding a crystal pendant. You recognised the crystal as smoky quartz.

Alex looked at you in confusion. ‘Did it work, did you see her?’ You looked at him, noticing his presence ‘Yes, and you won’t like what it.’

‘Y/N, I can’t take care of her.’ Alex pointed at Lily with frustration, but you knew that there was no negotiating this. ‘Both of you enough. Lily, I know you want to come with me, but it will only be a couple of days. And Alex, you are the only one I can trust with her.’ They both looked at you with begging eyes, and even if you didn’t like the idea of separating, you knew it had to be done. ‘Please, don’t leave me.’ Lily was hysterical she couldn’t catch a breath, crying. So you kneeled down and hugged her tight. ‘I know you don’t like it, I don’t like it either.’ ‘So why can’t I stay with you?’ You took a deep breath to stop yourself from crying. ‘It will be very short, and we will be together in no time’ You hugged her even tighter and kissed her on her cheek, she giggled. You stood up and hugged Alex and whispered into his ear. ‘Take her as far as you can, don’t stop until you know no one will find you, don’t contact me. I will find you.’ You took a deep breath and handed Alex your car keys. Then you hugged Lily again. ‘Safe trip, see you soon, love you.’ You said, and they left replying love you too. You knew this wasn’t going to be a short separation but you couldn't tell them.

When you saw them leave the driveway, you put on your jacket and boots and went to the reception. Hoping there is still a car available to rent.

‘Hi, sorry,’ You caught the attention of an old lady at the reception desk. ‘How may I help you, dear?’ ‘I would like to rent a car.’ ‘You are lucky we have one car left, may I have your ID and driving licence?’ You gave her the document answered a couple of questions, and soon you were holding a pair of car keys. Thank you, bye’ You smiled at the lady and left the building.

You found the car, got in it and drove towards the New Orleans.

Part One Part Two

A/N: This part focuses on the reader after what happened in the garden, I used this piece to set the plot for future parts. I hope you will enjoy it.

Pardon any mistakes but it is really late, and my eyes are half closed.

After half an hour of complete silence, Alex finally looked at you. You felt his gaze and turned your head to face him just for a moment. His face displayed troubled expression. He opened his mouth to say something, but he didn’t. Instead, he stared at the road before him. Still not looking at you he said ‘I just don’t get it. Why wouldn’t you tell me?’ You didn’t turn to face him this time, but you felt his eyes on you. You breathed heavily and said the first thing that came to your mind. ‘Because I didn’t want anybody to know.’ Alex swallowed hard ‘I thought we were best friends,’ he whispered.  ‘Alex, what do you want me to say? That I am sorry, sorry for not telling you?’ You responded with a raised whisper, weary of your sister sleeping in the backseat. ‘This is not what I am saying. I just thought that we can trust each other. For God sake Y/N, I was telling you everything!’ You knew he was hurt and that he didn’t mean to raise his voice. You looked at him. ‘I do trust you-‘  You tried to explain yourself, but he interrupted you. ‘Clearly not enough’ he said sarcastically. ‘Alex, I was sixteen when my mother passed away, and not long after he’ You closed your eyes and your eyebrows frowned, you swallowed hard before you continued ‘I was lost, I didn’t want people to know, I was scared that if … If I told, that he would…’ Tears were shielding your eyes. ‘Y/N, you don’t’ Alex tried to calm you down. But the tears were already falling from your eyes, down your cheeks and dripped off your chin onto your sweeter.  

You heard lily move in the back. You whipped the tears and cleared your throat, ‘Is everything alright?’ You asked with a smile and a cheery voice. ’I need to pee.’ She said sleepily. ‘Alright will take a stop at the nearest gas station.’ You said and looked at the clock that showed four thirty-seven in the morning which meant that you have been driving for over eight hours with no break, fixated to get as far as possible. Suddenly your eyes felt heavy as you approached the gas station. You stopped the engine and said to the both of them. ‘We are stopping for no more than ten minutes, go to the toilet and grab what you need.’ The last you said more to Alex than Lily. You waited for Alex and Lily to get out of the car, and then you lock it. First, you all headed to the toilet.

You waited for Lily, and then you both motioned to the sink. You were washing your hands when you lifted your head and looked into the mirror. You were shocked by what you saw. You had massive bruise stretching from your right cheek and onto your lips. Your lower lip was broken with a big dry lump. ‘Did a bad man hurt you?’ You heard Lily say and you immediately looked at her confused as to what you should tell her. ‘Yes, but I hit him harder.’ You said smiling, and she smiled back.

You meet Alex outside the toilet. He was holding water, snacks and sandwiches. ‘I thought you might be hungry, I also ordered some tea for all of us. Should be ready in no time.’ He said proudly of himself. ‘Great’ You said when you heard someone call you to take your tea. You took it and walked towards your car monitoring your surroundings. ‘Alex,’ He looked at you puzzled. ’Do you see the two men in that black car? Over there.’ You asked not knowing if you are just paranoid. He dismissed your suspicions. ‘I am sure it is nothing, we, you were driving all night. You are probably just tired, maybe I should drive for a while, and you could take a nap.’ ‘Maybe you’re right’ You admitted

‘So, where should I drive?’ He asked sitting in the drivers’ seat. And that was a good question. Because despite you were driving, you didn’t know where you were headed. ‘Maybe we should take a break at the nearest “bed and breakfast”’ You were sitting at the back and in no time you fall asleep.

‘Y/N’ You heard your name and felt a shrug. You barely opened your eyes to what was going on, and you saw Alex. ‘We are taking a break at the “bed and breakfast like at your mamas”’ You rubbed your eye and yawned ‘Where are we?’ He pursed his lips sarcastically ‘At the nearest b&d’ ’What time is it?  You questioned. ‘Nearly six in the morning, I already got us a room.’ He said and gave you his hand, which you took lazily. Where is Lily?’ You asked noticing that she is nowhere to be seen. ‘She is already in the room.’ This worked like a trigger, you started pacing to the entrance. Alex was right behind you. He caught up with you. And led you to the room.

You saw Lily fast asleep, peaceful and innocent. ‘I’ll take the couch.’ Said Alex and you just nodded and laid beside your sister.

You were dreaming about your mother when you were little. You were playing in your grandmother’s garden in a city you don’t recall. You heard your mom call you and you were overwhelmed by the scent of her perfume. Sweet, fresh fruity scent. ‘Y/N you cannot be here.’ You looked at her confused until the dream wasn’t a dream anymore. ‘Mom?’ You hugged her tight, and she stroked your hair. She then suddenly pulled you away ‘No, Y/N you cannot be here.’  You looked at her quizzingly, eyebrows frowned. She realised that you don’t understand why it is. Why you can’t visit her? So, she answered your question, that hasn't even been asked. ‘Oh, sweetie’ her voice brooked ‘it is dangerous, if you come here too often, you might get trapped and won’t be able to go back.’ You were even more confused. But you needed an answer to one question that was hunting you since the last time you saw her. ‘Mom, remember the last time I was here,’ She nodded not knowing where you were going with this question. ‘you said I have to practice something,’ She nodded once again. ‘but you never told me what.’ She smiled at you, like a sun spell. Proud and impatient to tell you she started to talk. ‘Do you remember when you were five and you and your dad went on the camping trip?’ You smiled at that memory it was your first time camping under the bare sky. ‘On that trip, something happened,’ You frowned your eyebrows confused ‘You got angry because you didn’t want to come back’ You couldn’t remember that incident ‘you screamed at your dad and a nice sunny day changed into thunder.’ You looked down and whispered ’I don’t remember that why?’ She looked at you with sorrow and continued with her story. ‘After you came back from the trip, your dad told me what has happened. We thought that you didn’t have it in you, but to our surprise, you had, have something far more powerful.’ You looked at your mom not understanding. ‘You see,’ She breathed out heavily. ‘you have a gift of magic, not just a traditional one, you have a very rare gift that allows you to control nature, of course for a price.’ Your eyes, wide open in disbelieve. ‘It makes you physically weak.’  ‘Is that what it was. I used “magic” to escape Rees and the others’ You felt insane, but you let her carry on, and so she did. ‘Your dad took your powers, but when he died, they came back to their owner. To you. And so, I went to a friend of mine, who gave me the necklace to block your powers.’ She finished, and you could not believe what you just herd. ‘Mom, this isn’t real, I am just dreaming’ You squeezed your eyes in an attempt to wake up but it didn’t work. ‘honey this is not a dream, and now listen to me.’ She said very seriously ‘You need to go to your grandmothers’ home in New Orleans and find her spell books and diaries. Just be careful many people want them. Go there and take them and never stop moving.’ You wanted to ask her questions, but she wouldn’t let you. ‘Go’ ‘But mom, I need to know so many things’ You said. ‘there is no time, now Gooo!’ She screamed at you, and her face turned into one that you often saw in horror movies. Pale white with black circles for eyes.

You walk up with a scream and tears. You were breathing very slowly, like that one time you decided to run a marathon. You closed your eyes and turned your head so that it would face your sister, but when you opened your eyes, they meet an empty pillow. You burst out of bed, you looked around and realised that it was only you in the room, so you just put your shoes on and left the room. You went downstairs to where the noises came from, and you saw Alex and Lily sit at a table laughing and eating. You were leaning against the door frame when Lily saw you and waved at you to join them.

You were eating a French toast when you saw your stepfather in the news. You immediately stopped eating. ‘We are currently at Mr Rees Owndel’s’ Said the news reporter. ‘whose daughters were kidnapped by gang members. As you can the garden is completely destroyed.’ They showed a video footage of the garden. ‘Mr Rees, would you like to say anting?’ The cameras showed your stepfather, who had tears in his cold eyes. ‘I don’t know what to say. I just want my girls to come home.’ Son of a bitch. You whispered, thankfully no one could hear you. ‘I only have one message to you.’ Said your stepfather. His voice cooler that ice, he starred directly to the camera, stared at you. ‘You can’t escape from me, I will find you everywhere you go, you can’t run from me. I will have it, and you will give it to me.’ He smiled viciously. You knew that this message was for you. You were petrified, but you shook the feeling off and looked at Alex and Lily.

‘Guys we are leaving.’ They both looked at you and then Alex turned around and you and Lily’s photos on the screen. You grabbed Lily’s hand, and you all were walking towards the exit when you were spotted by the manager. ‘Hey, wait.’ None of you stopped, and you ran towards your car. When you all took your original seats, you saw the manager speak to someone on the phone. No doubt he was calling the police. You just speed away. Headed towards New Orleans.        

I know this was a long read, and there were no vampires involved, but I really needed this part to make this into a bit longer series. I also wanted to develop the reader's character. Let me know if you would like anything specific to be in the story. Otherwise, I hope you enjoyed it. :)

Warnings: Mentioning of blood and ripped hearts out, but if you watch “The Originals” it should not bother you.

‘Y/N’ You heard your name being called by a sweet, homey voice. ‘Y/N, open your eyes, honey.’ You felt something soft tingling your forearm. ‘Mom, stop’ You laughed because it was the way only your mother walked you up. And then you froze and rapidly opened your eyes. And you saw her, kneeling above you, examining your body. She cupped your face with her one hand and softly rubbed your cheek. ‘Oh, baby I am so sorry. It is all my fault.’ Your mom said with torment in her eyes. You sat beside her and allowed her to hug you gently. She stroked your hair while you breathed in the sweet, fresh fruity scent of the perfume that she has always warn. ‘Mom,’ You broke the silence. ‘I don’t understand, how are you here?’  She looked at you not knowing what to say. When she finally spoke, it left you confused. ‘Honey, do you know what happened? Do you remember anything?’ Your eyes rested on her, but your sight else were. You were reliving past event with your stepfather in the led role, then you saw the men, and it all came to you. ‘Am I dead?’ You said breathlessly. ‘Not yet, time here slows down’ She answered and smiled shyly. ‘So, where are we?’ She thought for a second and then spoke. ‘We are in the “in-between”, it is a place for spirits that have either something uncompleted or if their body is still fighting or’ She didn’t have a chance to finish because you immediately got to your feet. ‘Lily!’ You shouted with wide open eyes. Your panic clearly vocal ‘I completely forgot about her, mom I need to go back!’ Your face tensed ‘How do I go back?’

Meanwhile at your house

‘C’mon, love, drink’ Klaus was feeding you his blood. He then heard a cruel laughter coming from your stepfather’s mouth. Klaus turned around, and his eyes turned gold, with a flick of an eye Klaus got to him and lifted him by his throat…        

In-between

‘Y/N you are stronger than you think you are you just need to…’ She didn’t have a chance to finish when you felt a strong pull and feel to your knees. ‘Mom, what is happening?’ She grabbed your hands and squeezed them. ‘Your body begins to wake,’ She said with a serious tone in her voice and a loving smile. ‘Now, listen to me, we don’t much time. Rees (your stepfather) is dangerous, his true nature is reviled once each month.’ You looked at her confused, not understanding what she is talking about. ‘You need to take your sister and leave, never stop, never stay in one place for too long.’ ‘Mom’ You said scared by her words ‘No, listen you are powerful, strong, much stronger than you think. You just need to learn how to control it, you need to practice it.’ You grinned in pain. ‘Mom, I don’t understand. What do you…’ You were cut off, unable to catch a breath. The last thing you saw, was your mother ripping you necklace off your neck and saying, ‘I love you.’ and the tears running down her cheeks.The necklace that she gave you after your fathers’ death when you were nine.

You lifted into sitting position on the floor in your bedroom, unable to breathe. When you finally caught your breath, you fall to the ground in relieve. You then heard a choking noise and turned to where it came from. You saw a man holing Rees by his throat, and you immediately sat down shocked by what you saw. You froze in fear, tears streaming down your cheeks. The man had gold eyes and black veins around them and blood dripping from his mouth.  

Your gaze then rested on your stepfather, who had a smirk on his face. He was also covered in blood, and you could not help but wonder whose blood was it yours or his? The man turned to face your stepfather. ‘Do you care to see your doing, lad?’ He said with a deep British accent. He then threw Rees towards you, this caused you to move back. Klaus then lifted Rees, who begin to struggle with him, and eventually hit Klaus. On Klaus’ face appeared a playful smirk. He grabbed him by his throat yet again, and pushed him against the wall, this time leaving crack marks behind. ‘Now, here is how this is going to play out’ said Klaus ‘You can either be a good doggy and live, or,’ Klaus smirked on this thought and carried on ‘you can die’ He said emotionlessly. ‘The choice is yours’ He then looked at you ‘You’re a fool, nothing but a fool’ said your stepfather and begin to laugh.

At that moment yet another man burst into your room. He was wearing an expensive looking suit. ‘Niklaus, we have company’ said the man. ‘Not now Elijah, I am trying to teach this dog a lesson’ Said Klaus pressing your stepfather harder into the wall. ‘Niklaus, there is no time for this, I will take the girl you take the dog’ The man approached you and give you his hand, at first you hesitated, and then you took it. ‘Keep close behind me.’ You waved your head “yes” unable to say a word.

You were walking outside when a pack of people trashed your never-ending garden. You looked at the man, and you saw black veins under his eyes. ‘Hide´ He ordered, and you listened.  

You hid behind a great old tree. Your back rested on the tree, it supported your height because your legs were unable to carry out this task. What is happening, who are these people? The questions were spinning in your head. After a couple of seconds, you peeked to see what was happening. It was a bloodbath. You saw the two men, Klaus and Elijah rip the harts out of the chests of people who came near them. You could not believe what you were seeing. Tears were dripping from your chin. This is insane, just fucking insane. Mass murder in my garden You spoke to yourself with an amused voice. Someone must have added something to my drink, and now I am hallucinating some fucked up crazy shit. There is no any other option. Alex must have to sneak some of his “mood boosters’ into my tea. I am gonna kill this little fuck. Your monologue continued. But you were quickly pulled out of the trans when you heard a whistle, and then your sister’s calling filled your ears. She was calling for help. She was calling you.

You came out from behind the tree and saw how frightened she was. Some men held her and motioned her into a car, and your stepfather was walking towards it, with a proud expression on his face. He stopped for a brief moment and looked at you ‘What can I say sometimes you’re on top and other times you’re on the bottom, and you my dear are always on the bottom’ he said and continued to walk. You immediately looked around into chaos, the brothers were overwhelmed by the number of opponents they had a face.

And then you felt it, her presence. You smelled her sweet fresh fruity scent. You closed your eyes, filled with the power you screamed ‘Stoooooop!’ You breathed heavily, when you opened your eyes you were amazed, everyone was down on the ground, shocked or simply unconscious. Before anyone could stop you, you ran to you sister. You lifted her like a little bride and run to your car. You let her climb through the driver’s seat on to the passenger’s seat, you then took your place, and with a shaky hand you pressed the “start” button to start the engine, and you speed away. ‘Thank you, mom.’ You smiled and looked at your sister who was staring at you. ‘Everything is going to be fine. Don’t worry. I will protect you.’ You said relieved when she managed to curve her lips.

You heard a ring of your phone and your body tensed, and then relaxed when you saw that it was Alex. ‘Where are you, I’ve been trying to reach you all day.’ He was speaking fast, relieved that he finally reached you. ‘Alex, I am leaving the city.’ He didn’t say anything, so you just continued. ‘I’m with Lily, something happened, and we have to run’ When he spoke you could hear that he was confused ‘Why? What happened? Where are you going? What about your stepfather, he will never let you leave.’ You took a deep breath and replied ‘That’s the thing I am running from him. I don’t know where, but I have to leave. It is not safe for us to stay here.’ Alex replied quickly ‘I am going with you’ He said full of confidence. ‘There is nothing here for me, I have only you, and if you leave, I will be alone.’ You knew it was true, so you agreed. ‘Alright, I will pick you up in five, get everything you need and grab a blanket and a pillow.’ You hang up and drove to his house.

Alex’s story might have been worse than yours or as equal. His mother abounded him and his dad. He had no siblings. The day he turned 18 his father abandoned him too. So, when he said he only had you it was the truth, you at least had Lily, he had nobody but you.

You got to his house, and you saw he was already outside waiting with his bag hanging on his shoulder and pillow and blanket in his arms. You stopped the car, and you said to Lily ‘Sit in the back’ She looked at you and obeyed unwillingly. Alex threw the blanket with a pillow on the back seat and took his place in front.

‘So, do you wanna tell me what happened?’ He said when you started the engine. You turned around and looked at Lily. ‘Do you wanna watch a Disney movie?’ You asked her, and she nodded in agreement. ‘Put headphones on.’ You then turned to Alex and told him everything. Starting from the truth about your stepfather and ending with what happened in your garden. He turned his face away from you drowning in thoughts. You turned around, Lily was already asleep. You were not surprised because it was already dark.

You stared at the wide empty road. Now you were finally free. Your lips curved slightly it wasn’t how you planned to escape that powerful man, but you did.

Imagine living in New York City with your stepfather after your mother passed away. You are now 18, and your little sister is 6. Your stepfather abuses you physically, mentally and sexually but you know that you cannot leave your sister alone. And so, one day you notice that he looks at her with a strange look and you try to figure out how to escape that powerful man.

Authors note: I hope you will enjoy this piece. Please let me know if you did and if would like part two. This may surprise you, but I am new to the tumblr, and so I hope you like my creation. If you did not like it, then please say why, instead of spreading hate. Please excuse any spelling or grammar mistakes, but English is not my first language.

Warnings: Mention of violence: physical, mental and sexual, (the brutal, violent scene at the end) if you are not okay with this type of writing or if you struggle and this might worsen your condition then please skip this writing. I am sure you will find something more appealing to you.  

It is six in the morning when your phone starts buzzing. You get up, and you look around your bedroom. The door to your bathroom is to your right and to your left is a double door leading to your walk-in closet and in-between of those two rooms are doors leading out of your room. You go into the bathroom, you take a shower, wash your hair and your face. Then you sit in front of the large mirror and put your makeup on. You then dried and styled your hair into a high ponytail. You then left your bathroom and walked into your closed, you took an outfit that you prepared a day before. It consisted red-wine sweeter, a white-collar shirt, skinny black jeans and high heel boots. On top of that, you put on your favourite vintage-marine black coat. You grabbed your school bag and your car keys and walk down the stairs.

It was already 8.30 am, and you meet your sister in the hallway waiting for you to drive her to school. ‘Are you ready?’ You ask her. She looked at you with a big smile and said ‘Always’ you returned her smile and as you were about to leave he came into the hallway. And you saw that vicious smile on his face, but you were used to it, and it didn’t frighten you anymore. It was the way he looked at Lili that made you shiver. He looked at her as if he was the hunter and she was the pray. He was about to walk away when Lili noticed his presence and turned; with a blink of an eye she was running towards him calling ‘Daddy’. God, she is so innocent. You thought, but you had to do something to get her away from him so you did the only thing that you could. ‘Lili, we are going to be late’ you said impatiently, you could not bear to see him touch her especially today because he hugged her “possessively”. When he let go of her, his eyes rested on you, His lips were curved in a fake smile, but his eyes were strangling you. ‘Bye, daddy, I love you, have a lovely day!’ Lili thundered full of enthusiasm. ‘I love you too dolly.’ He responded with fake warmth in voice. He is not capable of loving, you thought. And then you two left the house.

You were listening to Lili’s favourite song all the way to her school. You were thinking of a way of protecting her from that monster. After 30 minutes of driving, you finally got to Lili’s school. ‘Have a wonderful day Lil’ you said to her as she was about to leave the car. She then looked at you and with a big smile said. ‘You too Y/N’. And she disappeared into the school crowd.

You then carried on driving to your school. You were drowning in your thoughts, unnoticeably you started to speak to yourself. ‘What should I do? How can I protect her? He can hurt me, I will take it. Whatever it is. His words can’t hurt me anymore. His actions already hurt me. He can’t hurt me anymore. There is only one thing he can do to break me. If he hurts Lily. She is innocent and pure. She is an angel, and he is the Devil himself. I need to do something to protect her. But what?’ By the time you could answer your question, you were already in the parking lot at your school. And someone was knocking at your car window to get your attention. ‘If you are planning on getting to Mrs Trarian class on time, you better hurry up!’ Alex shouted so you could hear him.

Alex was your best friend. Your only friend, as you were constantly moving from city to city, and despite being rich, you didn’t want to “buy” yourself a bunch of fake friends and instead you decided to be friends with this awkward, cute, gay boy. Who had a bright smile and messy blonde hair and who never took anything seriously. He believed that worry brings wrinkles. You told him and trusted him with everything, apart from this one thing. You never told him about who really is your stepfather; a monster. You reserved to a minimum when it came to him, that you didn’t really like him, but you never said why.

When you got out of the car, Alex immediately took your hand under his arm. ‘Oh My God, you will not believe who was at my house last night.’ He said with such enthusiasm that you couldn’t help but laugh. He looked at you with the playful-angry look and carried on. ‘So, I was with Andrew.’ He seemed so proud. Andrew was his all-time crush. ‘No freaking way, tell me all about it. And don’t you dare miss any detail. I. Want. To. Know. It. All.’ You said the last couple of words like a threat to signal him that he can’t miss anything. Not a single detail. ‘So…’ he carried on ‘he came to my house because he needed my help with physics. And after an hour my mom said that she is going to her friends. After the front doors fell shut, he got up, and we started to make out and then … we, you know.’ He finished his story as we here approaching our history class. ‘I can’t believe you have done it before me, really I need to speed up my game.’ And then we walked into the class.

Thankfully, Mrs Trarian was off, and your substitute teacher turned on some documentary about the “French Revolution” because you could not concentrate on what was happening in the classroom. You were preoccupied with the behaviour of your stepfather, every time you closed your eyes you could see how he looked at your baby sister.

After your history class, you faked to feel ill, and you went home. Unfortunately, your stepfather was there. You walked into the house and instantly realised that he wasn’t alone. He was with clients. You were headed upstairs when you heard ‘Y/N, is that you.’ You immediately thought regrettably yes, but you only said. ‘Yes.’ As politely as you could. ‘Can you please come here for a second?’ And you made your way into his office, at least he can’t hurt you. You thought as you walked. You walked into his office, and you immediately saw two men standing there. You swallowed hard, and you heard. ‘What is wrong darling? Why are you home?’ You stood there astonished. What a son-of-a-bitch, a fucking actor. ‘I wasn’t feeling very well, so I decided to come home.’ You tried to sound like a good daughter, that you had to pretend to be every time his work-related people were around. ‘Listen I am about to finish with these gentlemen so why don’t you go to your room and I will come right there to see if you needed anything?’ Your eyes wide open with fear and you say with trembling voice. ‘I, um it is, it’s, um fine. I am s-sure it will pass soon. D-d-don’t trouble yourself. He looked at you viciously, as you almost disguised him. ‘Excuse me Misters Mikealson’ You saw him walk towards you and you couldn’t help but take a step back. He gripped your arm hard and motion you to your room. Your body tensioned and your steps were forced by him. You walked in silence.

He opened your bedroom door and pushed you, you struggled to keep your balance. And then he came close to you; his body millimetres way. ‘Do you think you can come here and embarrass me in front of my best clients?’ You could smell his rotten breath. ‘Gosh, you’re so beautiful’ His breath heavy on your right ear as his hand moved a piece of hair off your face. ‘But you need to be punished.’ He spat with sharp, aggressive voice. And then you felt a firm grip pulling your hair, and he pushed you. You landed on the floor. And all you could hear is ringing in your ears, your eyes unable to focus, you feel a heavy weight on your stomach, and then pain shoots your face, and you could taste your blood in your mouth. A tight grip on your shoulders lifted you. Then pushed you to the ground, hitting your head and back on the floor. Once. Twice. And then it stopped, and you laid on the floor peacefully. Half unconscious. Your eyes struggled to stay open, and you saw two pairs of shoes. Your eyes fell shut.
