Should I include Lord Vile in the MC Deck or wait until the DB Deck? While "Lord Vile" appears for the first time at the end of Mortal Coil, it's not technically him. The true Lord Vile (Skulduggery Pleasant Inside the Armour) doesn't exist until after Melancholia kills Skulduggery.

He also gets a cooler shoulder wrap than the other necromancers, with a collar that gives the faintest of priestly vibes.

When reading, I usually picture this guy as Saruman. Obviously I can't just draw Saruman but I leaned heavily into that when drawing Tenebrae's face.

I know he's probably around the same age as Skulduggery and Ghastly or at least around the decade or so- but I can't help but picturing him as a much older man. Something about being "high priest" just screams old to me xD

Okay so after three months we're finally finishing the Dark Days Deck!

I'm also obviously out of practice because his face is so warped, but I'm tired of looking at it so I'm just forcing myself to be okay with it.

I bought a new laptop

July (and Art Fight) is over

So! Now all that's standing in the way of torturing myself with the Card Project is:

My 14 hour work days

Barely keeping up with my basic human needs

My expert level procrastination skills

This laptop's Clip Studio settings being just slightly different than my old laptop's Clip Studio settings and it pissing me off

But GOD I miss drawing so I really want to get back to it

I'm sorry I've been like radio silent- ik the WIP Wednesdays have still been going out but those were scheduled almost 8 months ago so I don't think that counts xD

Okay you can tell I was STRUGGLING with this idea lmao

The whole canvas is titled "Missing Kenspeckle SOW" funnily enough (The first two are Val zoning out and running her fingers over Tanith's nail scars)

The entire thing was based on the fact that Val was probably super out of it for MONTHS on their Dimension X mission. I like to think that Tanith stuck to her like glue as much as she could and made sure she was never alone with her thoughts and ALSO by herself physically.

I think Skulduggery and Tanith really had to keep their eyes on her for the majority of the trek, because while whisking her away to train and force her mind into something else is easier, there's still going to be downtime where you have nothing to do BUT think. And if you're going to slip into deep depression and ptsd episodes, it's probably better to do it in the lap of one of two people you trust the most.

Bonus points for Skulduggery getting Tanith whatever she needs while she's 'stuck' under Val xD

This is honest to god one of my favourite scenes- and I like a LOT of LSODM.

But the bit where Darquesse actually earns her takeover? Manipulating Valkyrie into a situation where she's forced to relinquish control? And then to top it off mass murdering a ton of people?
