Skulduggery: “In order to open the door. I must admit, I was surprised I was able to. Why didn't you seal it? You can seal a door with one touch.”

Tanith: “Never mind why I didn't seal it. You shouldn't have picked the lock. How long have you been standing there?”

Skulduggery: “Not long. I was sitting over there for an hour, and than I got bored so I decided to stand here until you woke.”

Tanith: “Skulduggery, man... You can't do that.”

(Context: In this AU, mortals find out about magic in like 2019, but before anyone can get their pick axe the UN and the sanctuaries make a peace treaty or whatever and now everything is kumbaya but to keep the kumbaya the dead men lowkey become a PR prop (mainly pushed by the American sanctuaries) to show that sorcerers can be good. Hope this makes sense. This is all SEVERELY self indulgent🥹)
