I want to tell yβall a story about supporting and loving your partner, starring my amazing wife.
Iβve mentioned before that I had an eating disorder for many years, and though I consider myself βrecoveredβ there are aspects of my disorder that I still struggle with today β being quite a bit heavier than my wife is one of them.
When my wife and I moved in together back when we were still girlfriends, I was at my skinniest. She used to pick me up all the time and lift me off the ground, and Iβd laugh and kick out my legsΒ βcause I was just delighted to have her holding me.
But I started gaining weight as I went through recovery, and where once we were pretty close in size, I began to get bigger. And bigger. And bigger. And she remained her naturally petite self. I began to almost dread when sheβd try to pick me up, sure that this time she wouldnβt be able to get me off the ground.
But every time, even if I protested, sheβd lift me up and say something like: βSee, youβre not so big that I canβt lift you!β
And one time I just blurted out: βBut someday Iβm going to be so fat you wonβt be able to.β
She looked me dead in the eye and said: βNo you wonβt. Because if that ever happens, Iβll start working out.β
It was the best possible thing she could have said to me, because she wasnβt saying I wasnβt going to get fat β neither of us knew that for sure. She was just saying that I was never going to beΒ βtoo fatβ for her.
And every time I worry about getting bigger, I remember that Iβll never be so big that she canβt lift me, because baby knows how much I love being held, and sheβll change her own habits to ensure that I never feel βtoo bigβ or βtoo heavyβ because in her eyes Iβll never be βtooβ anything.
Anyway, thereβs a moral to this story: Find yourself a partner who will never consider you an excess. You should never be βtoo muchβ to someone who loves you β too big, too loud, too passionate, too awkward, whatever your βtooβ happens to be. And even as you change and grow (in my case, literally), the right person will be there through the changes, to tell you that youβre always just right for them.

Transphobes on Twitter have started the tag #TransMenAreNotWomen.
No, thatβs not a typo.
when youβre so transphobic you support trans people by accident but you donβt know enough about transness to course correct and itβs too late anyway
this reminds me of that one conservative Christian page that tried to be transphobic to a trans woman and ended up affirming her womanhood π
This had so many turning points I had to take 3 minutes to understand
reminds me of that one time when some transphobe popped up in my inbox to yell at me about now matter what i tryto do, i will never be a woman because its biologically impossible. im a trans guy.
Transphobe: βYoUll NeVEr bE a ReAL woMAn!!β
Trans guys: βoh sweetβ
These people went from lifting chips to pulling off some action movie shit
This is the most Chaotic Neutral thing Iβve ever seen.
The teamwork is fucking outstanding.
this is just. so fucking funny to me
It's funnier when you consider that Weird Al tweeted this in response.
Legends only.
okay finding out that rug thing fucked me up. like, the rest was news, but it was all, like, fine, but rugs were supposed to be cheap

when u make new friends and u don't know how to act around them yet
adhd is holding back tears of frustration during a test as you re-read the same sentence for the 20th time and itβs still not processing right

Matilda (1996), dir. Danny DeVito
hold up Danny DeVito directed the most influential film of my childhood?
Not only directed it but starred in it, took care of Mara Wilson (Matilda) while her mother was in hospital with cancer and even managed to get an advanced copy of the movie for her to watch before she succumbed to her illness. The man is a treasure.
Lmfaooooooooo this says it all π
