Hi Folks,

Over the past few months, I have had many of you bring to my attention a lot of instances of Alibaba and Aliexpress pirating my artwork and selling it without my knowlegde or approval. I have tried to alert Aliexpress and Alibaba of this situation. Unfortunately, their complaint process requires me to sign up for an account with them, send them copies of my passport, and then register every single comic I’ve ever done with proof of copyright (which doesn’t exist in the US) as well as granting them “power of attorney” to represent me legally and pursue the pirates. I cannot provide this pirate company with my information or legal powers, so I will not be dealing with them. I also assume that, if someone is buying something off Aliexpress or Alibaba, they know they are buying pirate goods and don’t care that they are stealing from artists. Spread the word.
