My husband gets a tattoo today from his dad. It’s an unusually busy Sunday or maybe I don’t notice how Sunday usually goes. I have a book cover to work on. We got a new car the other day! It’s the only car I have ever bought and I feel proud but scared of the debt.

This is the cover of a small 20-page children's book I illustrated earlier this year. After drawing over a sketch I do not always save it, so this project was also an unusually clear look at my process. It's not much different from most artists, but it feels very satisfactory to look back at

It’s been cloudy out so these aren’t the best pictures and there is still a bit to be done.. but I’m getting into oil painting and it’s a lot more forgiving than I thought!
