not a meta, but...EMP vs. Blog Theory & the canon?
Ok so: about The Narration POV - also know as the EMP vs. Blog Theory discussion...
I already talked about how I read S4 from the canon standpoint in the brain-vomit I called Cake Theory, but since the scripts are open in the air my mind is going all fuzy with the dissonant readings again....

ANYWAYS - I was maybe a little harsh in pointing out how I dislike EMP, but that is for a number of valid reasons....
The Main One is because Watson is my personal meow meow & there are already tons of adaptations & pastiches out there doing him dirty?
Like, truly, they ALL do him dirty somehow? Is a gift that keep on giving :(
So, I dunno, the ideia that this is The Sherlock Mind Palace Show doesnt speak to me in a personal level maybe? I’m a little too invested in Mofftis claims of *correcting what other versions were doing wrong” to find this reading in any way appealing?
ALSO if you read the canon it all becomes CLEAR? Like TAB is a case from MUSG?
It is in the text inside Holmes *large tin box* of previous to Watson cases - which he presented to Watson in front of a fireplace, like one do
- BUT YOU SEE, in the text is a case Holmes is recounting to Watson, whom in turn is making his own narrative?
It already has a two narration here? As does the S4 ?

so, you know, I love to read all meta - including EMP - but when Holmes says something like “I need to go deep into myself” & “investigating an old case to solve a new one” I dont thing about he swimming into eternal coma like a disney princess - but about The Canon?

But since the last case we had in John’s blog was based on LAST - which is the last case they worked together, haven’t seeing each other for AGES/YEARS
& CHAS is a canon case that Watson only told years after the fact, in a very dubious fashion - because the responsable had maybe died - bc him & Holmes commited at least 1 crime (LOL)
& thinking how this Fake Death of the people involved in the cases/why & how Watson justify going public (as an Alibi?) is a thread that Mofftis used so neatly with Irene Norton/VALL in ASiB... [is the Conventry Conundrum...]
so, yeah Doctored footage & all that. By both of them. While separated & are trying to be together again - that’s why all the “Miss me”? messages
