iwtv as a show can't be going for more than 5 seasons in term of narrative and thinking of the way they decided to switch the title, i don't think, despite the team wanting to do what they want, that they'll switch to "more obscure" titles of the vampires chronicles for their upcoming seasons. so, while we don't know yet if s4 will be titled the vampire lestat part 2, it is imperative for the team to basically name the last or the couple last seasons "queen of the damned". a lot of people do know of akasha and the movie itself and for a marketing purpose, it fits with ending the show in a big way. of course they will re-use plot points from more recent books but i don't see them, as an amc show, going further than qotd in terms of switching titles in their story
