My names are Kylo, Matcha, and Mattie, among others. Preference depends on my mood. I use she/her pronouns and I'm a mostly androgynous or masc-presenting pansexual.

I'm mixed, brown, and proud. I was born near San Juan, Puerto Rico and I am of Colombian, Japanese, and Puerto Rican descent. I consider myself a Taína mestiza. I aspire to be a polyglot, and at the moment, I speak Spanish (my native language), English, and I am currently learning Japanese. I can also understand Portuguese.

I'm an otherkin, and as you can see, one of my kins is a seal. What kind of seal? Too many. Weddell seals, Baikal seals, harbor seals, ringed seals, they're just the perfect creatures.

I have AuDHD and one of my current hyperfixations, as you can tell, are seals. My main is here. I post art on my main, and I plan to reblog my seal-themed art here. I am planning to work with seals at Seattle Aquarium ^_^

Seattle Aquarium:

Casey! He's a harbour seal born in Seaside, Oregon, specifically he came from the Seaside Aquarium! He's a cutie you definitely don't want to miss :)

Hogan! He came from the Point Defiance Zoo in Washington and came to Seattle in 2015! Look at those beautiful eyes!

Flounder! He's the newest addition to the Seattle Aquarium and came from Miami's now-closed Seaquarium in 2026! Seaquarium closed due to animal welfare concerns, including unclean tanks, just a reminder to support ethical aquariums and rehab centers so they could keep doing great work! I just know Flounder is in a better place :)

She recently reunited with her daughter after being transferred from another facility back in 2019!! She was rescued from Massachusetts and can't be released back into the wild due to recurring infections.

The bad stuff I've heard is from ignorant people, like you said. They believe that all animals should be in the wild and that training them is abuse. All the seals are rehab seals who *cannot* return to the wild. The performance and photo op pools aren't their home. They have a medical pool and a large pool for the four seals that call the Nerpinary their home.

The seals also have schedules and they only perform on certain days of the week. Training the seals and giving them toys and instruments is actually very engaging and helpful for both the bodies and brains of the seals. The CEO is also a strong advocate against seal hunting :)
