hey so i've hidden all my fics and idk if i'm gonna delete this blog... i probably won't but. it's been such a wonderful place for me and i'm glad i've had it. and there are still things i wanna do on here (working on a fic rec list i really wanna post) but overall i just have to be less online. like here i am trying to work on my novel and instead i'm licking my wounds on tumblr.com as per usual (this is how i refer to scrolling + posting now). idk... just thinking it thru. how do i let go of this little blog that has nonetheless meant so much to me? bc i do have to let go of it, it's really time

i read a lot of fiction and i read some fanfiction. and fanfiction has done things for me emotionally that a lot of fiction never has... it taps into this part of me that's so raw... so driven by pleasure/so driven by the licking of my wounds... and i get that out of original fiction too. but not in the same way? fic is so driven by these recursive desires, these bids for intense pleasure... and i don't actually enjoy a lot of the main fare on ao3 bc i don't think we pleasure seek in the same way. and i don't mean that badly at all... but god. when i find a fic that becomes a part of my artistic lexicon... holyyy shit
