i would LOVE to do that but the research paper is a pilot study on the association between online social support and mental health outcomes for LGBTQ+ youth seeking mental health treatment and the gay fanfiction is smut based on this tweet:

Pete who lost his parents in the great war and can barely remember them vs. Stebbins’ who’s the Major’s bastard and so will see him everywhere, but never in his own home. Pete and Stebbins who understand the nature of the walk, yet Pete walks because he’s been walking his own life vs. Stebbins who’s knowledge whilst thoughtful/philosophical he tries to keep impersonal/logic based. It comes off as him witnessing events and thus making conclusion based of what he’s seen rather than having been through the event and makeing conclusion that way aka moreso Pete.

It’s shown that Stebbins frustrates Pete for being cold/hard to understand because of Stebbins’ walls, but once Stebbins reveals his story Pete shows him sorrow. In the script, he even shares a piece of his shirt with Stebbins.

I think they could have a very interesting where they challenge each other’s philosophies and in doing so can help them develop a wider understanding than what they currently have. I’d like to see them needle at eachother’s past/their vulnerabilities and how each would handle it with their different ideals. God i’d love to see them debate things out.

Or even Pete who can help Stebbins open up. Let Stebbins feel his own emotions. Or Stebbins who gets to see the part of Pete he hides away because Pete “I try really hard” and who also pushes Pearson away when he tries to join the musketeers. There’s smthing more there and I think Stebbins could be the one to look into that.

They give Academic Rivals to me. Pete the guy who gets good grades, who loves class discussion but doesn’t make studying his whole life. Vs. Stebbins who is a high honors students and makes corrections on tests earning extra marks. l

Man GavRibBins can be so interesting coz they both motivate Ray but in very different ways. Pete pushes Ray to see the light whilst Stebbins pushes Ray to see what is there, he just has to look deeper. Then they have eachother
