Since my last post a lot of people had made the joke about Stratt projecting her period cramps on Grace, so here it is

A runaway trolley is quickly approaching planet Earth, threatening to kill over 8 billion people. There is a lever that can be pulled to redirect the trolley. On the other track is a singular man. You are the trolley operator. Do you pull the lever?
But suppose the problem is not that simple. First, pulling the lever will most certainly kill the man but it will not guarantee the survival of Earth. In fact, the chance Earth will be saved is slim, and many of those 8 billion will die in the process. You are the trolley operator. Do you pull the lever?
It still isn’t that simple. The man tied to the other track isn’t tied down at all, in fact he does not know he is part of the dilemma. You will have to tie him down yourself. You are the trolley operator. Do you pull the lever?
But wait, there’s something you are forgetting. The man you must tie down and murder is your second in command, your best friend, your platonic soulmate. You love him. You know he will refuse to be the sacrifice. You watch as he begs and pleads for another way, betrayal in his eyes. He writhes as you give the command to sedate him, and prepare to tie him to the tracks. He goes limp, and you do not cry. He will hate you for the rest of his short life, and you will deserve it. Even so, you know you are doing the right thing.
You are Eva Stratt. You will pull the lever.
this movie makes me SICK. /positive

Grace flipping his shit, statement.
Bonus:
quick little thing i drew trying to communicate to a friend how the petrova line scene hit me in the theater
I had absolutely zero expectations going into Project Hail Mary (I didn’t even bother watching the trailers LMAO)
During the first half of the film, I distinctly remember thinking, “I think I’m too dumb to follow along LOL” because of all the scientific jargon being thrown around (it also doesn’t help that I’m not exactly a sci-fi gal hajshdah) But as the story progressed, I honestly found myself caring less about the science and more about Grace’s internal conflict.
What surprised me most was how this supposed sci-fi film gradually shifted into something incredibly human. I’ve always associated sci-fi with cool, distant tones, but PHM managed to infuse the genre with so much warmth. At its core, it was really about a friendship that taught Grace to trust himself. I think it’s incredibly beautiful to see how much someone else’s presence can mean a lot to anyone. As Grace says, “You gave me everything,” and I think that sentiment carries a different kind of weight when it exists outside the realm of romantic love.
Honestly, the character dynamics brought so much heart to this sci-fi story that could’ve easily felt clinical or detached, and I think that’s what ultimately stayed with me. Also coincidentally, the composer for PHM is the same composer for Spiderverse so RAHHHH
Also (2) Ryland Grace, you are very attractive PLS TAKE ME HAHAJSDASJAHA
stupid lil comic idea that came to me in a dream.
not sure how i feel about this one, i just feel too much tbh
