Something I really like is the fact that Carl isn’t a scientist, and with his thought process, unclouded by the science laws and rules, he so casually says “maybe the Venus air is fresh air to them” or something along that line. 

Stratt has so many scientists studying these little alien guys, yet it’s Grace and Carl who find out how to reproduce Astrophage. Because with the added brain of someone who isn’t a scientist, with the outside perspective, they can see something as simple as “Venus air is fresh air to Astrophage.”

I understand that, in the book, this probably shows Grace’s worth and proof that he is a scientist. That he isn’t “just a middle school science teacher” but an actual microbiologist who isn’t a stupid coward, but someone smart who is putting in all this work for his students who he wants to help have a better future. 

However, I do like the addition that it isn’t just scientists, it isn’t just “the best and smartest people” who are working on this. But someone who is just a security guard, someone who isn’t even a scientist or engineer or has written countless papers. It’s just someone who said something anyone else would’ve said as a joke or a throw away gag. “Idk, maybe they like eating Venus.”

WELL, I got the highest grade for my thesis and presentation, and a very nice review from my advisor that may or may not have made made me cry. Thank you guys for your patience and support, I feel like y'all played a major role in me staying motivated and not dropping out during that last year. Gotta figure out what to do next after 15 years of just studying... A terrifying thought but oh well

Now that I'm FREE and have some time for myself, I have a few practice shots planned, that's the first one! Wanted to work with perspective and depth, and let me tell you, those legs were a nightmare to draw. Also the apple was hanging from a thick branch originally but I wanted to spice it up so now there are LEAVES and MOVEMENT

Also I've found a toggle in tumblr settings that had been compressing my videos, so now everything's gonna be in full HD like it's SUPPOSED to be
