I'm sorry but this cis gf has out-chasered halimede /pos
"oh! new queer trans comic/show/media whatever that's so cool- why are there no black queer characters? and when there are black people why are they always not trans and side pieces for the white characters?"
i noticed that from indie queer projects that gain traction there lacks a heavy cast of people of color and in this case black characters that are shown an ounce of love. it's very rare to find black trans characters in these projects unless it's specifically made by a black person. it's just jarring to see considering that black/Hispanic trans women are big pioneers of the American lgbt movement.
i just... notice a lot of these queer indie creators always lack black casts members or when they do exist it's only a tokenized character that's most likely not even queer. it sucks cuz I met so many black trans people/trans people of color who vent about the same thing: feeling invisible in a lot of these arts. and when we make art of our own it's often overlooked (although I'm lucky in my case)
Xena’s amazing costumes.
They just invented the world’s fastest sandwich. They’re calling it the autobáhn mì
getting my lips pierced today and like, after escaping the Jehovah's witness cult and my mom's place, it made me realize that I'm allowed to live my life however I want...I can do things I missed out on, dress however I want, I can just exist authentically and not force myself to be what my mother wanted.
piercings and tats and dressing immodestly is against the Jehovah's witness code and guess what I'm doinggggg(minus tats)

defunctland episode released immediately upon your death chronicling all failed career paths and relationships and somehow michael eisner is still at fault
The Mountain Men in The 100 are fascinating bit of worldbuilding/writing, really
The last remnants of the US government, living in a bunker following the nuclear apocalypse, in which the first generation of inhabitants are implicated but with that implication never actually rising to the surface (with later exposition revealing that they weren't the ones who pulled the trigger, but they were still the ones who build and maintained the gun)
Surviving by literally extracting the blood of those around them, whom they view as subhuman (and with a tragically unspoken racial dynamic to the bunker being very white and the outside not). And then finding the space kids and adopting a plan of get those kids and their kids to grow up and mix gene pools, after having not done that with the outsiders for however many years. (which ties into the show's fast&loose eugenicy way of looking at genetics, which is one of the show's weaknesses)
The fact that its very explicit that everyone knows about the kidnapping and killing people to survive. It's not something to be revealed to shock people into changing their ways, it's something that a) everyone knows b) basically everyone is fine with c) the handfuls of people not fine with it largely taking the position of "well we'll kill less people, only when we feel we actually need to". Its a ugliness everyone knows about and tries not to think about much.
And then the ending, the fact that our protagonists choose to break their systems of subjugation, resulting in them all dying badly. Maybe another end could have been found, but their leaders chose to tie themselves to power over the outsiders so thoroughly that breaking that power kills all of them. Going to their death saying "we had no choice, we had to do all of this".
In conclusion, death to america
I wanna have cleavage one day… sigh.
