In the time I’ve been going to festivals and received kandi for small acts of kindness I’ve near cried every time. It’s just such a sweet thing for someone to say “thank you, you made a positive impact on me today and here’s how I can express it”  they come from connecting with people and helping each other out.

but then they did an episode where they established that even just fucking laying there for a half hour, not even sleeping just laying there and not even for an hour, makes a significant difference and you’ll feel way better

(The DQM2 metal ones and the watermelon are adorable as heck! Why haven't they made it to the west ;w;)

as the main series is primarily about the stories, the characters, and the world, the monsters are just a fun little extra. the dragon quest monsters series has many, many more monsters as that's the focus.

dq never took off in the west and so it's not highly regarded as the first proper jrpg like it is in japan. however, pokemon did take off worldwide and the dragon quest monsters series bears many resemblances. thus, these games look more like pokemon knock-offs here.

people who know dragon quest builders may know the variants of box slimes: the box slime first appeared in dqm1, the muddy box slime and rocky box slime first appeared in dqb1, and the dolomite box slime and obsidian box slime first appeared in dqb2 or so my sources tell me. these have all been localised.
