how does neopian society work why can us, the userbase own pets but neopia is devoid of humans and only the pets run everything. how are the neopets so self sufficient but still need owners. are we the userbase holding the neopets captive ??? are the neopets our slaves what is going on here. did adam and donna intend to make the internet userbase’s relationship with neopia remniscient of an empiric nation giving a captured country self governing rights????? but in actuality the neopians are subject to our will? how come our neopets starve if we don’t feed them but are still able to create and run a functioning society why is neopets like this
