My Story

My 20 year old son asked me why I am still single . I told him being a woman who have endured period pain, labor and birth pain made me think that I don't think I need anyone else. And then he said " just because you could, doesn't mean you should."

Yesterday was my restday from work. My son and I planned to buy some snacks . We went to the mall and bought the snacks. While on our way to the grocery mart we thought we can go to the park afterwards. The weather was bright and sunny but the cool wind made it perfect to hang out in the park. We just sat there drank our iced coffee and ate street foods. We were just taking our time.

I felt the serenity in the park. Sitting there without rushing or thinking about something we have to do. My son is busy with his studies . He is stressed with all the overlapping deadlines of school work. I felt burned out from work. We need to plan our day to get things done. However we found calmness when we decided to pause and take a break . We even ate ice cream before we went home. We enjoyed the moment taking our day slowly.
