I'm almost 22 now, had my legal name change done years ago (went with Nathan instead of the Grandpa Ryan y'all knew me as!) I'm on T and I'm a year post top surgery. I'm also engaged! To the absolute man of my dreams!

Being where I am now makes it kind of funny to look back at this blog from when I was 17, pre-T, just got my first binder, on E blockers and learning to navigate being trans and trying to help others in the same boat.

I'm incredibly privileged to have had such easy access to trans healthcare - in my country a medical transition is a long process but not a difficult or expensive one, and for that I'm extremely grateful. In saying that, though, I just wanted to hopefully let you guys know that with time, you'll get exactly to where you want to be. You'll eventually be comfortable and happy and thriving in yourselves, and I wanted to let you all know that for sure, because when I was young and running this blog, I never would have expected to end up so happy.

Y'all will get your happily ever afters, your dream lives with all the confidence and happiness in the world. You'll get there, so hang in there. It'll be alright.

I'm not going to keep using this blog from here - just wanted to, like, wrap things up after all this time.

That’s a really tough situation, I’m so sorry you’re going through this... maybe you could ask to stay with your friend while you search for apartments? If need be you could always find a flatmate and half the rent with them so you could afford to stay with your cats? I hope things get better for you soon!

Sorry about the late reply! I know it can be tough trying to handle stuff like this. I recommend finding other places of support like other trans friends! It can be really good for coming to terms with things!

I’m really sorry you’re going through this! Dysphoria is no fun. But there are lots of little ways to make yourself feel better! If you can’t get a binder, cupless sports bras are often super helpful! Apparently wearing two at a time (one forwards, one backwards) is a good way to bind if you don’t have a binder but I can’t vouch for the effectiveness or safety of it because i’ve never tried it myself! Cutting your hair short also helps, or if you can’t do that then tucking it up into a beanie or hat can help! And if you get bottom dysphoria there are lots of tutorials about how to make a packer out of rolled up socks! And sometimes little things like getting a more masculine deodorant can help too!
