I'm probably interpreting these two in kind of a weird way, but I feel genuine sympathy for both of them.

They seem to be, at least in part, trauma responses to events that Harry has no memory of. They don't need to be so loud and involved in his life, and they probably wouldn't be if Harry's life had been different. Even if you don't give them many points, they'll still pop up from time to time.

All Half Light wants is safety and security in a world that can be genuinely dangerous. It helped Harry survive in the past, so it probably thinks it has to stick around and give it's two cents, even if its not necessary. Half Light doesn't trust people and isn't willing to let its guard down. Oftentimes, it freaks out to the point of manifesting as (what I assume to be) intrusive thoughts. Some of which are racist or misogynistic and Harry has to try and filter them out. It's so scared of everything and everyone that there's often no logic behind what it brings to the table because all it knows is "oh my God please don't die please don't die!" People don't always remember trauma, but they remember how it feels in their body.

Electrochem in particular I have a lot of feelings about. It's so goofy and weird for most of the game and it usually garners a "lol why are you like this??" reaction for me. But then it freaks out and gives some of the most heart breaking moments for me. "People are going to die and it's your fault" "You're going to die and you should keep drinking so you don't die sober" "you're stressed, do drugs about it" "damn you killed someone? Do drugs about it." It just makes me so, so sad. Even when Harry is happy, Electrochem is still around and never seems to let up.

(Also, I feel like I should clarify: I'm not saying doing drugs is morally bad. I just want this little guy to have more joys in life. Please don't read this wrong.).
