My favorite bit of folk medicine is that we’re supposed to take wormwood for intestinal parasites. It’s actually really effective, which is how wormwood got its name, but the reason it’s effective is that wormwood is literally just poison and it happens to kill the worms slightly faster than it kills you.

Medicine is the opportune application of poisons. Healers and poisoners are folks with similar skill sets and wildly different philosophies.

my favourite thing about gale dekarios to this day is that there’s literally no reason for him to be talking like that in combat except that he’s having a good time. fully led me to expect some kind of backstory with his combat experience but no he just says things like “i speak, they burn” and “let me recite their demise” for the love of the game

Forget about torturing your blorbos, putting them through the ringer. I'm putting my blorbo in perfectly ordinary, pleasant situations. Their tortured personality will cause them anguish anyway, making an absolutely mundane scene into the most dramatic, agony filled affair as though the world is ending and it's all their fault

sorry to burst people's bubble but the reason these tigers are slipping like that is most likely because they've been declawed and that they're there in a tiger farm. horrible considering these are endangered species.
