there's so much a/b/o everywhere. not that im complaining. but mav is NOT an omega in my head but apparently to the general population yes he is.

The only person not interviewed is his husband, Jake. That is, until the splashdown live coverage. Captain Jake Bradshaw is commanding the ship in charge of recovering the crew after splashdown.

When Jake is shown on the live coverage, the internet goes crazy. Listening to him describe the preparations the Navy has made to care for the returning astronauts with his consummate professionalism (Ice and Cyclone’s protege in every way when it comes to chasing the stars on his collar), he successfully hides the anxiety he feels as his husband prepares to burn through the earth’s atmosphere.

Back in North Island, Mav and Ice (both retired) use their connections to get inside the area where Bradley will eventually be flown back after initial medical checks on Jake’s ship. They watch the coverage and Ice keeps Mav from completely breaking down when Bradley’s team hits the same water where they lost Goose.
