Dinluke Headcanon
Din realizes that he is in love with Luke Skywalker after watching the planet of Mandalor fall in love with him.
I mean after the Jedi school first arrived on Mandalor the Jedi was looked at with extreme skepticism and suspicion…not that he could blame them. Jedi and Mandalorian’s have always been enemies, opposing forces.
Thus Din is surprised as the strange blonde man slowly makes everyone fall head over heels.
He hears rumors. Of the Jedi fixing their water condensers himself. He’s out in the hot sun for hours. His children students dotting the dunes around him, with shovels and tools making sandcastles while he works.
Then he takes it upon himself to help clean up the ship hangar after a sand storm before anyone noticed. He used the force so it only took him maybe ten seconds. But when the crews got to the hangar that morning it saved them hours of labor.
No one REALLY notices him until they see him fight though.
Someone really stupid tries to attack the burgeoning Mandalorian city and they aren’t expecting their ship to be literally ripped in half by a smiling blonde man with a goofy smile.
The next week he carries around a round cheeked baby in a chest carrier around the square. Mandalorians almost fall to their knees in the street.
A few days later he uses the force to save a Mandalorian child from being crushed by falling debris.
He gets four marriage proposals in two days.
Din watches seething in hatred.
It’s only after watching the Jedi turn down like fifty more that he finally snaps and realizes why he is so angry about the idea of Luke being in a relationship. Because HE wanted to be the one with him.
