"Humans don't like anything that's not a cookie cutter model of what they think is normal. It's disappointing, sure, but not surprising."

"You sound like Charles." Raven said, taking a moment to study her. "What did you say your name was?" She didn't look like a face Raven recognized, so if she was a mutant she was new to her. It was hard to keep track of everyone floating around these days, impending collapse of the multiverse and all.

"I don't think moping around about it is going to change anything, Raven." At least, Scott could only assume this alternate version of Mystique was still Raven. He wasn't sure what to expect anymore.

"Moping?" the scoff she let out was dry, devoid of humor. "You always were a self-righteous prick, Summers, but condescending?" Raven clicked her tongue, giving him a disapproving sweep of her gaze.

"A-what now?"

"Mutant." Raven repeated, flashing a pair of yellow eyes. "Surly you've heard."

"I used to believe that we stood at the beginning of the end. Now everything is new and uncharted." Although Irene was reluctant to admit it, her visions hadn't exactly been steady since they had arrived on Earth-Prime. There was a pause before her head titled to the side. "The question on your lips? Don't ask it. I see far, but I make no guarantees. Not right now."

"It's a good thing I know better than to ask you those questions, then. Hmm?" she murmured.

"Raven," Charles started, feeling his breath catch in his throat as he stared at the variant that stood before him. There was a certain curiosity that came with speaking to another Raven, one who was apparently there for the rise and fall of a mutant utopia. Selfishly, Charles wondered what her relationship was like with the Charles of her universe. But he was getting ahead of himself. "I'm afraid that doesn't surprise me. It's hard to imagine a reality where humans don't fear what they don't know."

She turned at the sound of a strangely familiar voice, knowing who it was before her eyes settled upon him. No matter which universe Charles inhabited he kept that irritating way about him--like he was always trying to talk someone off a ledge. Raven looked him over with all her usual disinterest, but at the sight of some sort of emotion she tilted her head. It wasn't that she was concerned, more or less alert in the way that birds of prey are to movement. "Sort of how you always have something to preach?" Raven supplemented, cocking a brow.
