"Things aren't so bad here." Daisy tried to start, but then she processed what the blonde was actually referring to. "I mean, they could be better. I'm... I'm sorry about your sister."
"Of course we're looking into it. Unfortunately, looking doesn't always mean finding. I know it's a lot to ask people to be patient, but there's not much else we can do. Think you can hang on for a little longer?"
"I'm Daisy. I don't think we've gotten to meet throughout all of this chaos, but whatever the Fantastic Four needs, I'm happy to help with whatever S.H.I.E.L.D. resources I can muster."

"This variant thing is... a lot. Don't get me wrong: I'm decently self-confident. My variant just may be cooler? I don't know. Is anyone else having this experience? I'm still processing."
"I haven't gotten a chance to run into my variant yet. But from what I've heard, she's kind of intense. And has a sick pixie cut."
"Should I be offended that I don't exist in this reality? I feel a little offended."
"I wouldn't take it personally. If anything, it's kinda cool to be one of a kind?" Daisy learned pretty early on that there wasn't a variant of her mother running around. Just her dad.
"I don't see how you not knowing who I am is my problem. It's not my fault if you're uncultured, is it?"
"I was away from Earth in a spaceship for several years, so I think I get a pass. Not to mention you guys seemed to keep yourself hidden for long before that."

"I get that the term mutant may seem weird at first. Homo superior definitely isn't much better. People are just big into labels. But I promise, we're not scary. Well, most of us aren't."
"From what I've learned, humans don't like anything that's different. They already have that complex that those of us who are different think we're superior. And some of us lean into that, which doesn't help."
"—No, no. As interesting as that is, I'm going to stop you right there. New reality plus no caffeine equals me being not interested right now."

"Yeah no problem." He replied with a small smirk and a nod. The light glimmering off of his metallic visor. Forey put his paws up on her chair with a bit of a stretch and a greeting before he dropped back down and started digging back in to his pig ear treat.
"So what do you want to know?" He asked taking a sip of his drink and waving over the bartender. "Hey, can we get some more of these pretzels? Thanks." He said with a nod before taking another sip of his beer.
Reader knew a lot of things. Just a lot of them were tragic or unfortunate. He's lived in multiple inhuman colonies and never really found any to be a true home, but New Atillan got close to it. At the very least he'd be able to tell her an awful lot about inhuman society.
Daisy considered the question for a long few questions, not sure where she even wanted to start. She had plenty of questions, but a starting point seemed hard to find when she didn't know anything about this other reality's Inhumans.
"How did Inhumans start in your reality?" She settled on, raising an eyebrow as she took another sip from her beer and quickly swallowed it. "That was a convoluted way to ask that, I just.. my mom had the only colony I knew of on Earth-Prime, and it didn't end well. Any other Inhumans I've met went through terrigenesis after all of that."
As her eyes caught his flames he reflexively pulled his leather collar up a bit and turned his head to the side to adjust his wrappings. He was supposed to embrace his mutation. Lorna and the rest of the Brotherhood encouraged that, but he was still ashamed of it. The way it deformed him. The way it uprooted his entire life. How he always feels numb and cold like some sort of walking corpse. It was hard to embrace it the way so many of his compatriots had.
"It's not about what you think but what's true, innit?" He projected as he looked back to her. He shifted his guitar bag over to his other shoulder. "Got much closer you could you coulda' snapped 'er neck. Be more careful." He continued, his projected tone beginning to soften, feeling a bit guilty for how he started their interaction.
Daisy didn't know how to respond to the boy's words at first, and then she really didn't know what to say as he accused her of being close enough to snap her neck. It was an abrasive and quite frankly rude way to interact with someone, but she had a feeling this guy had a lot of baggage. Most people who had powers like his probably would.
"Maybe I was just gonna ask about your guitar. You play?" She kept her tone light and cautious as she raised an eyebrow at him.
"I guess so?" Why was she talking to him?
"So... are you from here?" And by here, she meant Earth-Prime, or whatever Reed had called it back at the meeting.

"For flying fucks sake. Could you give me some space, mate?" Jono projected annoyed as flames reached through his leather wrappings and licked his cheeks.
Daisy eyed the man in front of her cautiously, noticing the flames that started to peek out of the wrappings around his face as she held her hands up and stepped back. "Didn't think I was getting that close."

After the conference, if it could even be called that, at the Baxter building Daisy and Reader had agreed to meet. Reader didn't have anything better to do in this world right now and she seemed real interested in getting to know another inhuman, so why not?
Reader waited at the bar she suggested beer in one hand and his other resting on Forey's head scratching him behind the ear. It was weird to be on this whole new earth so similar but yet so different from what he was used to. However, if there was one thing about Reader it was that he was adaptable. His life had always been in flux and enveloped in chaos, this was no different.
As Daisy made her way in Forey perked up and nudged Reader's leg. "Thanks, bud." He said offering him a pat and a treat behind the ear. He turned toward the door and gave a wave to where he had assumed Daisy was and ordered an extra beer. If she didn't want he'd have a second.
Daisy was... hesitant, to say the least, to actually meet up with the mysterious Inhuman she'd seen at the meeting. It was always risky meeting new people, but she had a base level of trust given the share genes the two of them had.
For years, her main passion had been seeking out other Inhumans and helping them out however she could. But meeting an Inhuman from another reality? She was more than curious to hear about this Attilan place that he was apparently from. An Inhuman utopia. It sounded like exactly what her mother wanted.
And while that almost put a bad taste in her mouth, her curiosity won out her hesitation. By the time she made it to the bar, she smiled faintly over to Reader at his greeting before remembering that he couldn't actually see her. Taking a seat next to him, she graciously accepted the beer and took a long sip. "Thanks. For the beer and for meeting up with me."
