posting this wip to remind myself how to post art again after disappearing for years ( 〃．．)

My favourite excerpts from my animation class assignment! Included a link here to the final completed short that I worked on with my group.

The final concept assignment of the year followed on from the previous story development assignment, where we designed toys based on our characters and stories!

I took Percy again and designed him to work as a 3D printed toy, and then another classmate fabricated the toy based on my designs.

2nd year concept design work part two! Was a group project for a story pitch and subsequent pitch bible, as if for a real network, studio, etc.

The final piece from my Star-Wars-universe concept class earlier this year! The creature design! It's a large, ancient snail that hates my character and wants to kill her while she's stranded on Felucia.

The real concept classes started this year, so here's 3/4 of my final work for that paper! Picked Star Wars for my hypothetical universe that I had to design an environment, character, prop, and creature for. It was essentially a big self-insert project. Alt-text describes more about each image.

The environment and prop were modelled in 3D software, the former I rendered through photocomping/photobashing, while the latter was rendered in Keyshot and then painted over with additional photocomping.

This was a big project with a lot of learning curves and a lot of new software to get used to!

Some of my favourite excerpts from the 2nd assignment from my Ilustrated Characters class, where we designed a mascot and branding to go along with it! The caterpillar was runner up design for my mascot, but the hand, "Fives" won out on me.

(Also considering turning the sticker sheet into an actual sticker sheet at some point because I like it so much!)

My favourite final pieces from the 1st assignment from my Ilustrated Characters class! The task was about designing a character based on a short newspaper story.

Mine was about a Welsh man who tried smuggling his pony on a train, and I got to fill in the rest from there which was fun!

Finished art from a first year concept major paper, where I designed a creature based on mythology from my background, and was given an additional "visiting" creature designed by another classmate.

My creature is the witte wieven, or "white/wise woman", from Dutch folklore, the visiting creature is a lindworm. I'm still really fond of how this assignment turned out :>
